Throw in Kobe and maybe I consider it... ;)

So are you just doing this to shed a year off of Bell's salary, Supreme? I guess I would do this to help the 2011 plan.

How about Vujacic/Powell/Lakers 1st for Ridnour?

I'd do it.

Bring the Machine to Milwaukee!

Plus, it would give Bogut another person to talk to in Croatian...well Slovenian (almost the same)

Yep. That was the idea.

I would also do this.

I like both these trades and I think the Ridnour one is actually more likely to happen. I don't see the Lakers really wanting to take Bell on for three years.

Lakers first is owned by Memphis.

You're right (glad we did Sessions/JA for Conley/Lakers 1st by the way).

I'd do it even if it was 2011.

I don't know if I would. We're essentially paying $5+ million for a late first. I bet Memphis would be willing to sell the Lakers first alone for $3 million. And we lose an asset in Ridnour.

I'd like to obtain as many 1st rounders as possible. If Hammond can continue to draft well, I think having those guys for 4-5 years guaranteed at small contracts is big.

I'm not interested in re-signing Ridnour at all. I think he's far outperforming his career norms and will come back to Earth at some point this season. If there is a good deal for Ridnour at the deadline I expect Hammond to pull the trigger (not saying he will, but from a fans perspective I would sure hope so).

Oh no doubt I hope Ridnour is traded (I like him to Boston for expirings/1st) but taking on $5 million for a late first (and not even next season) doesn't seem the smartest to me.

I like this base for a trade, but I'll modify it a bit to make it more in the Laker's interests, and more realistic I think:

Ridnour
Thomas

Vujacic
Powell (expiring)
Morrison (expiring)
1st round 2011 or 2012

The Lakers would rather do this trade as it saves them a bit of cash for the tax at the end of the year. Plus Thomas would be of more use to them in the playoffs. I think we would be ok absorbing the slight difference in contracts this season.

Yes, the pick won't be that good, but Vujacic won't be any worse than Delfino, who we can cut next year.

This isn't an issue to me. This will take more than one season to rebuild. I keep on maintaining that patience is the only way to dig out of this hole. Maybe you are referring to the value of having a pick next year, because the draft class is supposedly strong?

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
