Blackhawks hire Luke Richardson

Crazy week with the news / fake news on hawks coach eh?

So Ryan Huska had a frantic 15mins of google searches lol.

Apparently wasn’t even a candidate so that was out of left field by normally spot on Kevin Weekes.

In the end it came down to Luke Richardson, Derek King, and Brad Shaw per reports. I think out of those 3 that he was the right hire. Calm, experienced, and comes with a lot of players rooting for his hire.

A little surprised Jeff Halpren or Ryan Warsofsky didn’t get an interview but I understand why. They wanted a presence.

Richardson has 1400games under him in NHL / coaching on all levels / and has life experience that is heart breaking but also life affirming (I’ll let you google).

In the end this was the right choice and now we can move on to the draft.
