I told you Pitt wanted it more. They outplayed Detroit for pretty much every game save game 7.

Osgood damn well should have won the Conn Smythe.

I don't think it had anything to do with who wanted it more. And I still don't agree that the Pens outplayed Det every game.

Well, we'll just have to disagree on this. I wish I could honestly believe that Pittsburgh was simply better than Detroit, but I just don't see it. I saw the hungrier team go out and take it.

Oh, and good job Hossa. Maybe you can join the Pens next year and ask THEM what it's like to hoist a Stanley Cup. Way to no show the whole reason you joined the club.

They didnt outplay them every game, but 4 games they did. Your thoughts otherwise?

The only reason why stayed in this series was Osgood, to be honest. The man played extremely well and got screwed over by bad defense/turnovers. The only guys that can walk away from this series with their heads held high are Zetterburg, Lidstrom, and Osgood. Everyone else needs to take a long look in the mirror.

I think we looked tired and beat up at times, but I don't think we didn't "want it" or play hard. IMO if we were healthy we'd have won in 5 games. But injuries are part of the game, wutcha gonna do? Health is always a factor and the Pens did what they had to do. Congrats to them.

:(

Wow I'm disappointed. Wow.

I think the guys just figured they could flip the switch but waited to long. You'd think that they would have learned after that didn't work in game 6. I've got to agree with Cow, I think we beat them pretty handily at full strength. I feel bad for Ozzie, the guy was so close to the Conn Smythe and played outstanding. Winning really would have shut the doubters up and would have been nice for the HOF resume. If you would have told me after game 5 that Pitt wouldn't score over 2 goals the rest of the series I would have bet the house on the Wings. Very disappointing and frustrating loss.

So, umm, where the hell did Abdelkater go the five games of the series?
