LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms on three-year entry-level contract with defenceman Drew Doughty, the club's first-round pick in the 2008 entry draft.

Terms of the deal, announced Monday, were not disclosed.

Good he's signed, now lets see a- what that does for our cap floor issues b-if this kid can be Paul Coffee, Ray Borque, or Drew Doughty.

The kings gave Stoll 14.4 million.... now lets get Sully signed!

The big news today comes out of Los Angeles, where the Kings announced the signing of forward Jarret Stoll to a four-year, $14 million contract.

Stoll was acquired by the Kings from the Edmonton Oilers earlier this summer in exchange for defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky.

His new contract breaks down as $3.5 million per season against the Kings salary cap, a significant raise over the $2.2 million per season he earned over the last two years with the Oilers.

Stoll got that contract thanks to a 22-goal, 68-point performance in 2005-06, but a concussion the following season and the lingering after-effects hampered his performance since then, with 39 points (in 51 games) in 2006-07 and 36 points in 81 games last year.

Sully is being a punk. He wants a short contract so he can get the hell out of here as a free agent. I say trade him for a vet D.

The Kings have been in a stalemate with O'Sullivan's representatives since the free-agent signing period opened in July.

The Kings seek to sign O'Sullivan with a long-term contract, but O'Sullivan's representatives are believed to be seeking a short-term deal that will get him closer to unrestricted free agency.

"This isn't totally unusual in the business," Lombardi said Thursday. "The goal is to get him on a long-term contract. ... Sure we need him and we want him, but the team has to start preparing even if he's not here. I think it's better for everyone's focus, based on my experience, that that's the way we deal with it."
