Disgusting indeed... It really was a pathetic performance, and it was hardly Prices fault (could have had a couple, but was left out to dry on the rest). Halak never should have gotten the nod in Calgary as Price was way too hot to sit! However they sat him regardless... I would have played him for both games, back to back personally, but hey! What do I know? I'm not the amazing GM that Bob Gainey is... *cough cough*

Anyways, it really is way too early to worry about the squad, because they really have not had the time to gel/etc yet, but still. We've been out played 11 out of our first 12 periods of the year, and have 2 wins SOLELY on the fact that Price stole those wins for us. The team better pick it up or it's going to be a VERY long season for us Habs fans.

How STUPID is Martin? Who the BEEP puts Hal "The opposing team's best pal" Gill out in the final minute? Not to mention putting BGL out there in the last 2 mins... smarten up or gtfo Martin, seriously.

Positive note: Best game we've played so far if that's any consolation...

I was wondering that too, I was like what the **** is Hal Gill doing out there? Not the guy you want playing the puck at the point with a minute left in the game.

Lol, I know right? I still can't comprehend the decision making behind that call.

Habs call up Shawn Belle from Hamilton for the home opener. I'm a fan of the move, as I thought he had a very solid training camp! Look forward to seeing what he brings to the table.

Belle is awesome and was awesome tonight. He has some surprising speed when he starts going. And I dunno if you guys saw his scoring chance, but Plek's fake as he skated over the puck on the way was BEAUTIFUL and he fooled everyone except Anderson.

***ing refs blew this game for us though. McLeod got away like a bandit for that headshot on Gomez.

seriously man, I can't believe that they didn't call anything on that, and to add insult to injury, they just had to score on that play, urk. and those first 2 goals.. the Avs went in the game with all their luck

Ya I like Belle...I think Jacques Martin can make him a solid NHL D-man. He has all the physical tools, love how he was able to break a 2 on 1 near the end of the third, he can skate for a big man!

I thought that of all the DMen in camp this year, Shawn Belle was the best. He plays solid D, he's a BIG BOY, the kid can skate, he's got a good first pass out of the zone, and he's got a pretty beastly shot.

Alot of people just seem to regard him as a bust of a first round draft pick, but I think if given the chance he can, and will become a top 4 DMan.

Just got back from the game. Price played awesome, regardless of the outcome. Team gave up after Kovy's rifle. And speaking of which, I can't ****ing stand Habs fans. I'm almost positive they'll boo Koivu when he comes back next year, that's how ignorant some are. Any time they started to boo Kovalev, I stood up and starting clapping, my girlfriend too.

When Kovy finally scored on Price, I stood right up and started clapping and screamed out, "Boo now, mother****ers, boo now!"

Man do they suck. Kovalev scored and got what he wanted the win. Lets' hope they pick it up or people are going to be very hostile. I'm expecting a trashing of Price's car.

They should be trashing every person responsible for playing defense or Bob Gainey himself before they do anything to Price. Kind of hard to play goal when your team is hanging you out to dry every night.

If our D was just half-decent, Price would bost top-5 stats. I was happy to see Belle brought up, I was kinda hoping that when MA Bergeron would be called up, Belle would stick to alternate with Gill...But he was sent down, sucks.

I was thinking today: how awesome would it be if we fired Gainey and somehow managed to get Yzerman to take the job?

Sigh. I can dream.

finally a freaking win.

I'm tired of seeing all those goalies having a monster game against us, there are plenty of chances to score but that puck just won't go in the net

Yeah we really are snake bitten offensively, every time we play a team, their goalie seems to have a monster game!

So glad to see a win, and if Gionta doesn't get the captaincy soon I'm going to flip out. It's a no brainer imo.

I am very impressed with Hamrlik, he stepped up big time since the loss of Markov. Without him our D would be absolutely horrible...

Am I the only one who would love to see Chipchura sent to the ECL, Latendresse to the AHL and Gill wherever? :)

Gionta or Cammalleri and I'm happy. Love what both of them bring.

Our defense is ****ing useless, though. Like we're gonna be bottom in the NHL if Gainey doesn't do something. Makes me wish we had made a move for Pronger.

WOW what a game, Cammalleri with the hat trick goal in OT, that was just beautiful. just too much speed on the first line for the opponents!!

other than the stupid giveaways in our own zone by Bergeron co., I was happy with our performance

Yeah was good to see the grit and tenacity, and fight within the team. That last goal by Cammy, wow! Beauty!
