Timberwolves fans

Post#1 » by T-wOlvEs 420 » Sun Jul 26, 2015 2:52 pm

Hey guys, we could use some people in other Minnesota sports forums, we have all these die hard t wolves fans, and that's awesome!! The twins forum is dead, as well as the wild, and very few people post in the Vikings forum. Thanks for participating!

We're Wolves fans though... what if we don't care about those teams?

There are vastly larger Twins and Vikings communities that have been around for a very long time. There isn't much point to using the RealGM forums for either of those teams, even for those of us who do follow them. Basketball is better anyways :)

Thats because RealGM is primarily a basketball site.

For vikings check out
http://www.Dailynorseman.com (sbnation)
http://www.purplepride.org
http://www.vikingsmessageboard.com/
http://www.minnesotavikingsnation.com/

http://www.canishoopus.com is another great Timberwolves (SBNation) community, lots and lots of people posting there copmpared to other NBA teams surpisingly

Don't follow the Twins or baseball so I have no clue what some good Twins messgae boards/communities are but their sbnation community is http://www.twinkietown.com
I want to move back to Minnesota, I miss it sooooo much!

Maybe the mlb.com site for the twins? Those forums are pretty popular for every team I think.
I post on the Vikings site here a bit when things pick up. Twins site is dead and Wild...I don't know anything about hockey.

I never understood the SBnation sites. It just seems like articles with people commenting on the articles? If there are forums, I don't know where to find them.

I'd actually wager that this board is close to a 50/50 split between native Minnesotans who follow all local teams and out-of-staters who only follow the Wolves.

I don't like baseball or NFL.

Now if Minnesota had an AFL team...

Diehard Wolves fan, getting into Minnesota United (will finally have a team to support in the MLS) and casually follow the Twins and Wild. When I say casually, I don't really care about MLB or NHL, but I hope the Minnesota teams do well.

I'd probably have ended up supporting the Vikings too, but my Dad's a Raiders fan (due to colour similarities to our AFL team) so unfortunately I'm stuck with them.

Whilst we're on Minnesota sports, I'm planning to make a trip over to watch the Wolves next season, what would be the best time to get an overlap accross as many of the sports as possible?

Priorities would be:
1. Wolves
2. Minnesota United
3. Twins
4. Wild
5. Vikings

The only way these three overlap is early April.
1. Wolves
2. Minnesota United
3. Twins
4. Maybe Wild...
these three in November or December
1. Wolves
4. Wild
5. Vikings

other sports than Basketball is boring. In Football nothing happens and a lot of fans are flat out idiots (I try to not take trains on football-weekends). American Football is like a reallife videogame sports simulation. Baseball takes forever and is just bizarr. Hockey is kind of cool, though, but i'm not into ice skating.

I like sports that have a lot of action and minimum pauses.
Basketball is interesting because it's action packed.
American football, i guess you can watch a game now and then.
Baseball is extremely boring. It's like golf. It might be fun playing the game but it's a complete waste of time to sit and watch it on TV.
Hockey has a lot of action so i can easily watch an important match.

The comments section kind of are the forums the way it's all set up and everything. Not really a true form, but close enough. I consider it a community rather then a forum.

Football, or as you call it - soccer, is all about the drama. A goal can happen at any moment, even tho it won't happen 99% of the time. I hate it when people say that soccer is boring because nothing happens, when the whole point is in the nervous expectation of a key moment that can happen anytime.

Before I moved out of state a few years ago, I was a native Minnesotan that only followed the Wolves.

What about Ultimate?

Drag'n Thrust won the mixed division and World Clubs last year in Lecco.

Get around them!
