The detriment of his shot-selection can be minimized somewhat by our offensive rebounding and Rubio should be able to get him better shots than Curry. On top of that I'd expect him to lose some of his sense of entitlement by getting moved to another team where he wasn't anointed The Guy - Love is the entrenched favorite local and Iguodala would be the veteran team leader.
The guy has a 30% usage rate, I don't think Curry is the problem.

But he doesn't get set up, that's my point. He creates his own offence, so swapping who's next to him won't change his chucking ways.

According to espn Malcom Lee is looking like another good UCLA prospect. And Josh Selby also looked really good and could take a leap up draft boards.
I've already called Malcom Lee to be a sleeper in this draft. And he is a good outside defender.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
I've been thinking...and here is my new outlook on what we should do come draft time.
Find a veteran center or shooting guard with our 1st(whether its #1-#4) Bogut is my ideal fit.
If we can't and say we get #4...Irving/Williams/Biyombo gone and we can't trade down...Just take Kanter or Burks. Kanter might be BPA, but him and Love seems really un-athletic to me. If we took Burks, then at #20 take Lucas Noguiera for a project center with length and athleticism. Or if we take Kanter take a wing like Malcolm Lee, Klay Thompson, maybe even Jordan Hamilton, Selby, or Nolan Smith. Someone that can create his own shot as either a 6th man or a sg with handles.
Right now I'm just really hoping we can land some combo of Biyombo/Burks/Irving... The Utah pick should be a possibility and should the Memphis for moving up for Burks IMO, he just fills a big need of a sg who can create his own offense consistently, and hopefully Love/Beasley work on their defense or we may have to put Beasley as the super 6th man.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
How do you improve in anything? You seek out one of the best on the planet in the aspect you are attempting to improve in and work with them, pick their brain and learn from them. Burks is doing just that by working with the Billups brothers and Impact Basketball in Las Vegas to improve his jumpshot. Who better to learn from when the topic is hitting shots then Chauncey "Get Buckets" Billups?
"It's great, you know. They have the NBA experience more than anybody you know, so it's great to have them to work with me and help me out through this process."
Already a player who is ready for the bright lights of the NBA, Burks continues to work on his game. Getting to the league is only the first step in the journey, becoming a great player will take many more steps along the way. Whatever team ends up drafting him, there are guarantees he is already confident in making.
"A lot of versatility, a scorer, competitive and just do anything my team needs me to do to win," Burks said, referring to what he will bring to the team who drafts him.
With his maturity, Burks understands there are still some who doubt he will make it on the next level. He understands there is nothing he can do about the doubters other than going out on the court, working hard and not letting cockiness or doubt attack his mind. By putting in hard work, improvement and confidence will come.
"I feel like I showed them a lot during the year," Burks said. "I feel like I'll show them my improved jumpshot and they like me already. I feel like if I just show them my jumpshot, everything will go good."

Sorry guys, its already over...

PORTLAND, Ore. — To see Bismack Biyombo smile from ear to ear through almost a half hour of postgame interviews on Saturday night was to know that the Nike Hoop Summit has solidified another young international player’s NBA trajectory.

The Burks workout video really makes you wonder whether he'll ever be a good jump shooter. The guy literally gets no lift.

The sad thing is Rubio gets more lift than Burks. Hell, Love gets more lift than Burks.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
Our draft board has to look something like Irving, Biyombo, Burks, trade.
Valenciunas isn't coming over this year, Kanter is super unathletic and Vesely plays worse D than the Jimmer but with the occasional block. I would be super disappointed/worried if we drafted any of these guys. I would rather trade the pick.

Burks SMH.
I would be disappointed if we came out of the draft with Burks as our own #1 pick.
It would probably cause me to quit on this team. That's not directed against Burks but seriously that guy isn't worth a top 4 pick in any draft. Late lottery at best. We have made that mistake of drafting need over BPA last season, too.

I would hestitate to take Williams and Kanter off our board. I understand they don't fit, but BPA always merits some consideration.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
I think Kanter fits okay at center. I've seen him listed at 6'10'' some places, 6'11'' in others, but if he has decent wing span and reach (which he appears to have), he'll be fine. And he has actual basketball skills, including an array of effective low post moves.
And "super unathletic?" What are you talking about? He's not Dwight Howard, but he's at least average for the position.
My reservation about Kanter is whether his knees are going to be a recurring problem. If he gets the okay from the doctors that he's not going to be Greg Oden, then he's in my top 4-5 easily.

Enes Kanter will be no better than Chris Kaman.

Re: Prospect Watch Thread
I think Kanters BPA after Irving (of course I still want him shipped out). I could consider trading down for Biyombo, but the team that drafts him will have to offer a nicer incentive than the ones we've read about.
Edit: Scratch that, I don't even want to trade for Biyombo.
