Players playing out of position typically isn't a recipe for success. You want to players in position to succeed, and with our glut that's going to be tough.

Wolves fans have certain targets in mind.
Iggy, Bogut, Varejao and the #4.

Not sure what Utah is willing to give up. Wolves aren't looking for PFs or SFs. Harris doesn't seem to fit, and Favors looks to be off the table.

Yeah, I think actually putting players at their proper positions would go a long way towards helping this team improve.

Drafting BPA seems good in theory but with a team that is about to pick in the top 5 for the 4th straight year it gets to be pointless. At some point we have to build an actual team and not have a team of PG's and PF's. We can dream all we want but as of right now Beasley is better off at PF and so is Love. Beasley has the potential to become a solid SF as it was just his first year there but it certainly isn't a guarantee and he will never be a good defender there.

If we get Williams then we have to move Love to the 5. The team would be terrible on defense and I just don't see that team winning many games. I don't know much about Kanter and it's a shame that he missed the season but he was highly regarded going into the college season. Irving didn't play many more games against real competition so I'm not so sure it's okay to rate him highly but be worried about Kanter.

I say Kanter should be the pick and if we draft Williams then we absolutely have to move one of Beasley/Love/Williams.

I'd ship it for Rudy Fernandez...

The Ricky/Rudy combo needs to reunite..

If you guys aren't real stoked on who to draft, how about Batum, Rudy, Miller, 21, future 1st of some kind for Darko, Flynn, and 2. Or Portland could try to turn the 21 in to a better pick, somewhere mid lotto to try to sweeten the deal. Batum and Rudy would be fantastic next to Rubio going forward, and along side Love (Miller cut at no cost)
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

You can't think of it as the 'number 2'. This is a weak draft. The trade would be Derrick Williams for Rudy Fernandez.

Derrick Williams is listed at Draftexpress as a BEST case scenario--Michael Beasley.

Would rather have a poor man's Beasley (Derek WIlliams) or

this..

I'd argue with him but I don't think there's anyway he can be serious.

I'm completely serious. Perhaps you 'could get more'...

but if we are straight up asking who's a better player..fit for the for the Twolves ...Rudy or Derrick Williams..the answer is Rudy no question.

#2 picks last three years..

How much are these guys worth now?

Evan Turner
Hasheem Thabeet
Michael Beasley

If you think you are getting a superstar for Derrick Williams, you guys are crazy.

I'll tell you what. Go offer Rudy Fernandez for Evan Turner on the Philly board and see how long it takes before someone tells you to essentially "F*** OFF"

Come back with the results. K?

In the draft your second best chance to get a superstar is the 2nd pick. There is only one #1 pick a year.

ANd if someone from the Philly board went over to the Blazers board and did that?

You guys must not be following this draft very closely. There are no superstars in this draft. The number one pick # Kyrie Irving is projected as being a Mike Conley type player. This might be the weakest draft in history.

Why not just post it on the trade board then? Where it is impartial Try both The #2 for Rudy and Turner for Rudy. See how far that goes. I'm guessing not far.

You say that you're serious, but clearly you are not. I'm not a big fan of Williams, and he's still a far, far better choice than Rudy. Rudy sucks.

jinxed, here's an offer from a Portland fan right here:

So, in your mind Rudy = #2 and
Darko + Flynn = Batum + Miller + 2 firsts

Is that correct?

Did what? Ask for a Turner for Rudy trade?

A better question would be what if someone from the Miami board came here and asked for Lebron for Darko trade. Wouldn't that be neat? Neither would ever happen.
