What a disappointing loss. Gobert and Conley can't get any baskets, 21 turnovers, Ant can't hit FTs in clutch time.

A well deserved loss tonight. Too many players playing bad ( Rudy, Mike, [*] offensively). We stay in the game because of our defense and bench.Last 5 min of the 4th quarter really show what we have to avoid. Ant get all the ball in hands, keep making TO ( 3 in the money time), Mike taking one 3 when he couldn't hit anything all night.....we do all wrong.22 Assist for 21 TO !! Hope we learn from this.

I know people get mad when I say this, but Minnesota's ceiling is really capped by Anthony Edwards' late-game decision making. Ignoring the missed free-throws (it happened), Anthony Edwards consistently made a lot of really unfortunate choices, once again. Wide open layup that he threw out to Mike Conley was pretty painful.

Our starters all sucked horrendously tonight. And the offensive gameplan was terrible.
OKC comes out and scores on their first 5 possessions while we are taking bad shots and throwing the ball away.

Great game and energy from the bench unit tonight. Jmac, NAW, Anderson, NAZ, played great defense and got good shots and got us back into the game when we went down 15, and left the starters with a 9 point lead to close out.
Then they go on to choke in epic fashion.

KAT was particularly awful tonight defensively. They were scheming to get him ISO'd with SGA and exploiting it.
They tried to do the same to NAZ, but NAZ was doing a great job defending in space.

Mike had a rare awful performance.

OKC didn't play particularly well, but we out garbaged them tonight.
This game did not look like a 1 vs 2 seed going at one another.
It looked like 2 middling teams playing on a back to back.

Refs were awful. Naz block called a goaltend and BS travel call on a layup, there's 4 points right there.

We made a change and switched Gobert onto Giddey and Jaden onto Chet, and our defense was much better after we did that.

OKC doesn't have very good ISO defenders outside of Dort but they play a good team concept and can make you look bad if your spacing is not good. And our spacing was terrible.

One thing that stuck out tonight was we panicked and took bad layup attempts every time we got an offensive rebound.

I know it’s easy to blame Ant or Conley, but I am going to put 100% of the loss on Klomp

The play sets we are putting him in are awful too. It's always drive or playmake from the right slot.

And we were having him run picks with a guy they weren't guarding and didn't respect in Gobert instead of a guy like Towns or Naz.

We've got to try something different.
He's like a scrambling quarterback trying to make plays out there instead of a quarterback making reads and going through his progressions. He needs a lot more structure and patience.
Shoot or get off it quicker.

He did make a nice pass out to Jaden but Jaden missed the shot.

Yeah, I don't think he's at that point developmentally to be putting the ball in his hands at the end of tight games and expecting consistently good decision making.

Long term getting him these reps is a good thing but it can be rough, like tonight.

If Ant got SGA's whistle he would score 40 points per game.

3-16at 3 for KAT, ANT and Mike.... you can't win a game when you shoot bad like this. And as long as we let Ant beeing the playmaker in the money time, we will have those kind of issues. Doing the same thing and expect different outcome is a definition of insanity. As i say before, Finch know it and have to find a solution without hurting Ant big ego. Not easy.

So true. I love SGA but he gets every soft call in the book. It's just not fair when they don't call it the same way for both teams.

Still, 21 to's to 8 for okc you're asking to lose. MC has a rare really bad game.

Just saw the game, Naz had a block turned into a goaltend and a Eurostep layup turned into a travel, that is 4 points just by itself. All else being equal, those points that the refs gifted OKC is the difference in the ball game. Allowing different levels of contact, bad calls, ect… didn’t help. Ant didn’t bother to show up tonight. Karl was off all game. Mike was terrible for most of the game. Jaden cooled off after a sensational first quarter. Rudy was very hit or miss and contributed to a lot of turnovers. When the entire starting five is off and the refs are bad and you are playing a legit top 4 team is the west, your probably doomed.

Can I give you 2 thumbs up for that?

21 to 8 in turnovers. No excuse.
