Yep. I grew up in Texas and we called it Coke.

"Give me a Coke"
"What kind?"
"Pepsi"

Kind of like calling all facial tissue Kleenex.

Gotta love the South.

I intentionally trained myself to say "Soda".

well since were on the topic of minnesotans and sodas. my parents gave me some type of educational book growing up. it listed all the states and offered tips in how to remember them. now if you want to remember the state of minnesota, just think of it as "many sodas".

"Soft drink" is the ideal term. Your book - and by extension your parents - **** up. Remember this when it comes time to buy them a christmas gift.

Is it really "soft" though? When I drink SODA, that stuff is hard on my stomach. Maybe I just don't drink it enough?

It's softer than alcohol. It's called 'soft drink' here and in the UK, but generally people just call it by the brand name.

So the server at the Grand Canyon wasn't a psychic when I ordered a steak and a pop, and she said I was from Minnesota?

Wonder of the world, my ass!

why yes, there is a thread dedicated to pictures of brandon jennings topless, tyson chandler naked, and of course photos of a very excited ibaka.

Apparently, my posts have been and1'd 171 times. Who the hell would do that? And so many freaking times? I wish there was a breakdown of which posters did like my posts. Maybe I've got a few stalkers following me.

Look below your post count. I didn't know anybody actually used 'and1'.

I'm going to work the other direction - I figure I'll never be one of the posters with the most And 1s, but if I really work hard, perhaps I could someday be the only poster with more than 50,000 posts and less than 50 and 1s.

Can you imagine a 1000 to 1 post to and1 ratio? Thats admirable dedication to fluff and disagreeable posting. The only way I can make it is if they institute a "minus-one" feature. Lupus, bring this up in the next meeting.

Or you know what'd be a better, more to the point feature? A "do u like me? [] yes [] no" box at the bottom of each post.

So you're saying I'm really not that good of a poster? :(

You're probably right.

It's been brought up already and shot down by the man.
