When the Wolves signed Bjelica I didn't know much about him and thought he would be in competition with Payne and possibly Bennett for minutes. Based on play this summer from those three (summer league, Pan Am Games, FIBA Americas, Eurobasket), I would have to say that Bjelica is on a whole other level from Payne/Bennett. At this point it looks like Bjelica needs to be the primary backup behind Garnett which should result in 25-30 minutes a night (maybe more when Garnett is out).

Which is probably why he won the Euro league MVP award...

Very good game from Bjelica.
He doesn't look athletic or strong like NBA PFs but he knows how to play the game. I am looking forward to Rubio/Bjelica P&Rs.

As soon as I heard he was coming over and won Euro League MVP I looked him up. With what I saw, I think he can be a major piece. Right now I see him as the 4 going forward, I suspect he has a game simillar to AK47, KG. and Rubio where he just know how to elevate his team by doing the little things (making the right pass, closing out at the right angle, being in the right spot) that translate to floor success. I feel really good about him and am excited. I mean he could get rookie of year, what if he was that impactful lol.

I'm glad they didn't trade him as Flip planned going into the draft.

I don't know, I still think he is more a FIBA player but I accept I was wrong over his future after his performance in Spain. I didn't expected his improvement last season nor his MVP.

Hopefully he can use his versatility and BBIQ for find his place and adapt his defense to the NBA. I wonder if he can make those layups and penetrations in the NBA, the rest of his points were free throws and long threes. Usually FIBA teams haven't players for defend a 6 95 wing but this don't happen in the NBA. But despite this I think his place in the NBA is nearer the backcourt.

He did same layups and penetrations against France with Diaw, Lauvergne and Gobert as inside defenders. He just knows how to penetrate and how to shot in those situations

He fits really well with Towns and Wiggins, the thing is he likely will come off the bench because of Garnett's seniority, but hands down he is the best PF you have in the roster by a mile.
I have been saying it since May, and I wanted the Wolves to get Towns, just not with the 1st overall pick though, because they match perfectly.

Teodosic is the key to Serbias success. He has a bad day => Serbia looks bad regardless of how good all others are. But dont ever count him off until the game is over, just like Dirk.
