It's a rare pleasure to read an article from someone with insight of a player and the ability to eloquently express that insight.

Awesome. If we can just gut out a couple wins the next 4-5 games we'll be in good shape.

Well, this looks well, Ricky is already ready, Love is playing at high level, the eighth of the West is under 0.500 and the winter is coming.

Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations David Kahn said the timetable on Rubio’s return to game action is still to be determined in order to not add pressure for a specific target date. He said each step in Rubio’s recovery has been handled sensibly in that regard—keeping a focus on what’s best for Rubio’s long-term health.

He’ll be eased in,” Kahn said. “The likelihood is he’ll play his first game around 16-18 minutes and then from there the medical staff and Ricky will determine on a game-by-game basis what to do next.”

Spanish is a language that is spoken like any other else... I have been living in English spoken countries.. spanish spoken, french spoken and in Bangaldesh... and all the languages are spoken very fast... It depends on who is speaken... JJ speaks fast... but I think that he also do ir in English... RR speaks quite slowly...

And ia can give you couple of examples of Americans in the same way...

I do not need examples. I mean on average. And I have not found anybody who was confronted to native Spanish speakers and did not mention the thing about the speed.

And not, JJ does not speak fast. It is an average or even low speed what he does.

To close the topic I went to check my friend google. According to the journal language, Spanish is the second fastest language of the world behind Japanese. The study also says that this is due to the "information density" of the language and that at the end what you can say in one minute is more or less the same in all analyzed languages.

Here is an article of Time about this study. Case closed?

The good thing about it is that native Spanish speakers usually keep that pace speaking other languages and then they sound really freaking fast. What is always a good thing as nobody will notice the grammar mistakes.

Coming back to topic. Nice to see Ricky being cleared for practice. Hopefully the magic is still there and the knee does not complaint.

Just read that article. Great stuff!

I'm gonna say he plays, at the very latest, a week from tomorrow v. Cleveland at home. I think the coaches will be able to keep him out of the game tomorrow night, but anything beyond that is gonna be a challenge. Rubio really wants to get back in the game.

i hope you're right but i think that's wishful thinking...we'll probably only have 2-3 practices to that time and i'd imagine they would want him to get in several before he returns...i'd imagine game shape conditioning is a long way off what he has been doing. can't wait to see him back on the court.

“@talkhoops: I have no idea if this means anything when he's back but Rubio's jumper looks a lot better. His form is more fluid. Release is altered a bit”

Can't wait to see Rubio and Shved playing together in the backcourt.. so much ball handling, so much passing and talent.. and activity on defense.. If they find a nice way to play together, which i think they will, it's gonna be damn great!

Adelman said that Rubio's instincts, court vision are still there as always. Biggest issue will be conditioning.

Ricky says he felt good at practice. Trying to get to point where knee is totally out of his mind
Mark Remme ‏@MarkRemme
Rubio on playing defense: "Still slow, but I'm working on that...You can run, you can be in shape but once you hit the court it's different"

Looked like he was about his average %

:clown:

But yeah I'm not really surprised (neither negatively nor positively) about the comments by the staff and Ricky. He still needs a lot time to get fully back but everyone knows it anyway.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
