Rumor is that Raptors are still pursuing Gay, Calderon being shopped to a 3rd team.

A few flaws with that proposal:

-We'd have to give more
-Memphis is dealing Gay to save money, they won't want Barea.

Not giving enough isn't a flaw! Maybe we return their 1st though.
And they cut $4.5 million right away and another $5 million from Roy after the season. Plus its not like they are tanking the season - Barea is a useful piece on a contender, not dead weight.

Looking at wiretap saying Davis is involved, I tweaked it to this:

I'd do it without Ross and Wroten. Are bench clearly isn't working - this would be a great trade to dump some salary and replace it with some ornery, veteran swag next offseason like Mo Williams, Tony Allen, Stephen Jackson. Maybe even some annoying big men like Zaza or Turiaf? Yea I'm liking that already. We've been needing some legit nasty. I know Kahn has intentionally been going after good guys, but we need at least a few guys you don't want to make eye contact with, not this Disney On Hardwood crap.

From Doogie's scoops chat about the Gay/TOR third team:

2:26
Doogie: I checked today to see if MN was possibly in with 3-way scenarios... and I got a loud no.

That was an on the record conversation with Kahn though. He doesn't like to say anything until deals are finalized. Did same with Gelabale/Johnson.

This is different. It's not Kahn, and it's not on the record.

Most likely, but neither did Jeremy Lin last year.

maybe it was kahn (unless there's something else in the chat i'm not aware of). it could be that the organization is really opposed to the idea and maybe it could be smokescreen. i really don't think calderon is that far fetched.

Robby Kalland ‏@RKalland
That was surreal never seen a guy get traded before. Ed went upstairs to the Hawks exec. office w/ Raptors brass. (cont'd)

Robby Kalland ‏@RKalland
...Ed came down the stairs and ripped his shirt off and stormed into locker room. Came out about 10 mins. later, dressed w/ towel on head.

Robby Kalland ‏@RKalland
And beats headphones in hand...HE WAS TOO SAD TO EVEN LISTEN TO MUSIC!!! #HugEdDavis
