Re: Around the League: 2012-2013
~8 games into the season, and early returns on the blockbuster Dwight trade aren't looking too promising.
The Lakers team that was supposed to challenge the 72 win record is currently (3-5) and has already gotten one coach fired.
After "upgrading" Afflalo to Iguodala, Denver is (4-4), just lost to a bad Suns team, and is currently sitting at 4th in the division.
Orlando is predictably terrible, but surprisingly not the worst team in the league, so that's a positive I guess.
Philly, surprisingly enough, is coming out the best of all the team at (4-3) despite Bynum continuing to look like a constantly injured albatross of a contract.
Crazy stuff. In the unlikely event that this keeps up, this could be a rare 4 team trade that is terrible for every team involved.

For those who wanted Royce White at the draft.
He's about to be very available. Like "pick him of waivers" available.

If you can locate him, perhaps.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

McDonalds will pick him up, if not Taco Bell.

With Kirilenko, Williams, Cunningham all as forwards, I don't Royce White is the guy we need. I would be all for signing him and sending him to the D-league but we have a much more pressing need at guard/center and White's limitations (road games) aren't worth adding him to our deepest position.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt

I have a Royce White sig, and I'm having serious reservations on the issue.
Here's what I know...
He can't be expected to attend future practices
He's waging a Twitter battle against the Rockets

Just imagine if we could have had Beasley, White, and Cousins as our starting 3-5.

Considering his short history of NBA actions, I think your sig is devilishly poignant and on a whole other level of signature sophistication because the kid keeps disappearing!
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

You could trade D-Will and pick up Royce. Maybe bring Hoiberg in to deal with him. Anything to have Fred around here again.

That can't be WJ stats. He would never grab 7 rebounds in 29 minutes!!!

rubio + klove + dwight just complement each other so well it doesnt make sense.
with all the room the lakers are making in 2014 all im saying is i wouldnt be suprised if they got one or both.

I would be very suprised since they aren't free agents in 2014.

Rubio is restricted and loves it here. Love...theres always a chance, but still think he stays unless we miss the playoffs every year.

Suns fans have sure soured quick on Beasley
phrazbit wrote:Jodi wrote:Piston fan here, I come in peace...What would it take to get Beasley?? I know he just signed with the Suns this summer, but is there any chance he'll become available during the deadline??
Michael Beasley and one of the Lakers 1sts for a conditional 2nd round pick.
And trust me... the Pistons will be getting screwed.

I tried telling them not to get their hopes up with Beas or Wes. Then I was immediately called a troll.
