Nope. Pekovic is the better player.

Hibbert is better on D, but the difference in their offense is enormous.

And watching this team last season what do we need more, offense or defense?

A bench.

The starters' offense and defense was fine.

Not that it matters, since last year's team is going to be very different from this year's team.

Pek is a far better dude than Hibbert.

Did someone forget how he completely fell apart the last half of the season?

8.9 points, 4.7 boards, shot %39 after the all star break. 9 points and 5 boards in the playoffs. He stopped playing in January.
http://espn.go.com/nba/player/splits/_/ ... oy-hibbert

that is very, very, not good for a max deal player. There is a reason he's being shopped, he quit on his team.

Yeah if Hibbert was as consistent as pek it would be a different story. Cant have a 7 2 center that gets outrebounded every other game by PG and doesnt bring anything to the table offensively.

With Love out of the picture, we're going to have to depend on Pek's offense. I don't mind holding onto him at this point. We just need a defender at the 4 that can hit the mid-range.

Pek would be great on any team in the East. Surprised he is still so underrated.

Imagine him on the Heat. Or Thunder. :o

It's just too bad that guys that can do both are so rare.

I wouldn't be surprised if Flip plays Gorgui at PF a lot next to Pek

Unless it's due to injuries, I would be very surprised.

But I just don't view Dieng as a option at PF or at least a very probable one.

* He said he envisions centers Gorgui Dieng and Ronny Turiaf both playing some at power forward and said he thinks Nikola Pekovic and Dieng can play together some, with Pek at center and Dieng mobile enough to defend out on the floor at the power-forward spot.

"I think you can play them (together),' he said. "I think that's probably something we've work on a lot this summer, to see Gorgui's ability to play out on the floor a little bit more. I always say what position you are is who you can guard and I think he can guard 4s."

Work into Love deal?

We could get Jack as part of CLE deal (as incentive to lure away Wiggins), then trade Jack to BKN in separate deal for Thornton.

I read that as Parsons gets resigned by Houston if they get Bosh. Don't see how they would do a sign and trade to help facilitate Love to the Bulls in that scenario.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
