Names that have been thrown out there:

1. Izzo -
2. Hoiberg - too inexperienced?
3. Donovan - the anti-adelman
4. Karl - too old?
5. Flip
6. Hollins -- wouldn't fit the profile of someone that would maintain 'our offensive identity'
7. Stan Van Gundy

Those tweets say Karl to me.

'... doesn't want to lose the offensive identity'

IMO he is sending the message tp the fan base we will keep being an atractive (offensive oriented) team to see, which is what puts butts in seats (apart from winning, not granted anyway), as opposed to ie grizzlies.

I won't take more from that sentence, I doubt he was referring specifically to the corner offense.

It's more, hey, don't panic, we are going to be entertaining
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

Karl and SVG both have offensive philosophies that stress a high volume of 3 point shooting.

I would be very happy with either Karl or Hollins.

SVG worries me a little bit because he's got on players nerves a bit in the past if I remember correctly.

I'd prefer a young hungry coach. Hoiberg would be great. Hell, maybe even Kevin Ollie.

Karl is fine, but I think we need somebody that can instill an attitude more than a playbook. I'd actually prefer a less structured offense with Rubio.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I'm thinking Hollins rather than Karl.

No surprise there. I expect the next headline to read Izzo is out.

I'd hope for Jeff Van Gundy(though I'd hate to lose him from broadcasting) or George Karl.

I don't think Izzo wants any more than he has at Michigan State. Big fish, small pond, more power than God. What's in MN for him?

I would be thrilled with SVG, George Karl or Lionel Hollins. My only concern is that Love can be a little bit of a diva and SVG would drive him away by being not treating him with kid gloves.

The wildcard for me is Billy Donovan. I have very little confidence that his coaching will translate to the NBA, and I think it's wrong to take that kind of risk with a coaching hire at this time.

Probably my first choice would be Lionel Hollins. That could be a real game changer for this team.

Wouldn't mind either of the Van Gundys, Hollins, or Karl.

I've been convinced Hollins is the best choice.

Thinking it'll be SVG or Karl. If Rubio's 3pt shot could become more consistent, SVG's 4 out/1-in offense could be a thing of beauty.

Dont want SVG. Karl would be fine and get us to the playoffs but I don't have a ton of faith in his style. Hollins.. don't know enough about to him to say but I prefer him over SVG.

I just thought about how the Grizzlies transformed with him as head coach. They turned into a mean, monster of a team with parts that people didn't think would work.

We're awful similar to them.
