Sessions is the only one on that list I'd be interested in.

You're also missing Shaun Livingston.

Don't expect Timberwolves president of basketball operations Flip Saunders to sprint out of the starting blocks when NBA free agency commences Tuesday.

An active start will be shelved in favor of flexibility, Saunders said.

The Wolves have a mid-level exception available to sign a player for about $6 million, but with the fluid nature of all-star forward Kevin Love's future with the club, moving early makes no sense.

"We'll wait," Saunders said. "Right now, there are not a lot of guys out there that I think are better than players we have on the team. We aren't just going to spend it just because we have it. If someone pops down and we think it's worth it, we'll do it."

While Saunders said he'll wait and see, he knows other teams have his phone number on speed dial.

"There will be some people calling on our players," he said. "We will see if anything opens up. ... If we move somebody out of a position, we might be able to use (the exception) to move somebody else in."

I believe that Flip MUST be proactive in finding bargains. Regardless Love situation. His current approach is going to bring us overpaid players (read new Martin, Budinger). Damn, try to use non guaranteed deals.

1) does it make sense to give playing time to Barea, Shved and Mbah?
2) what is our priority if we want to develop our young players?

With Love or not we have to answer this questions.

Good luck, you have already found new coach.

Obviously with the Love situation in flux nothing is likely to happen quickly. I do think waiting gives us a better chance for value, but because we didn't go with that approach last offseason I think we're pretty limited regardless.

I'd be happy with any of the following signings for us.

G - Devin Harris
G - Mario Chalmers
G - Jimmer Fredette
F - Ed Davis
F - Luol Deng
F - Jordan Hamilton
F/C - Pau Gasol
F/C - Greg Monroe
F/C - Ekpe Udoh

-----
Personally I think we should go after Deng or Gasol regardless of the Love situation, could signing Deng or Gasol be enough to get Love to atleast opt in for 1 more year or re-sign?

Are you alright paying Deng $10 million+ a year?

^ He would do well for the Wolves. Much better value than Deng for around the same cost.

Admittedly, I am a Parsons partisan.

I disagree, bargains are found at the end of free agency when players are looking for jobs. Nobody signs below market value at the beginning of free agency.

Good luck with that. No NBA player worth a damn would sign here with no guarantees.

Flip have to take a risk by trading Love, I understand that at the moment is difficult to make movements without clear vision of team roster. The thing I don't understand is "We'll wait", you just can't build anything on it.
Kent Bazemore Receives Personal Call From Brad Stevens

C.J. Miles To Meet With Pacers

Celtics Made Direct Call To Jordan Hill

Avery Bradley Receives Interest From Celtics, 76ers

etc...
You can find bargain anytime, it might be international FA, released player, underrated role player, player looking for 2nd chance after serious injury etc. Wolves expressed their interest in Livingston and Parsons. If we bring them we will overpay them.
