I love this.

If full MLE though, Troy Hudson 2.0?

Damn.. That's a fantastic pickup. He helped out the Trail Blazers bench a lot last year. Can play next to Rubio as well. Not too happy about taking away minutes from LaVine at PG though, but hopefully we can clear some SF's on our roster to make Wiggins play at the 3 and LaVine play more at the 2 guard position.

This basically confirms that a trade is in the works though, as we now have 16 player on the roster if we include GRIII. Hopefully Barea is out of there.

So...

Love + GRIII(?) for Wiggins + Bennett + Picks
Picks + Barea + ???? for Thad Young

C - Pek/Dieng/Turiaf
PF - Young/Bennett/Hummel/Mbah a Moute
SF - Wiggins/Brewer/Budinger/Shabazz
SG - Martin/LaVine
PG- Rubio/Mo/Shved

Apparently Flip wants to keep Budinger and Martin around due to their offense/shooting, which would mean that 2 of Mbah a Moute, Brewer, or Shabazzz would likely have to be on the way out.

Edit:

Maybe Shabazz as the ???? with Budinger getting spot minutes as designated shooter at SF and SG.

Edit 2:
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=o8yyal9 + picks moved from Cleveland to Philly and/or Minny as needed.

(Thompson salary substituted for Wiggins' for the trade checker to work)

I like this signing. Was eyeing him as a vet guard.

I wonder if this means that they intend to keep Martin as the starter at SG.

I think Svhed and Moute are on the outs

I could definitely see that. Barea and Love definitely are. We still have a major logjam at SF, though, so one of Shabazz or Brewer (since Flip apparently wants to keep Bud around) will likely have to be moved.

I like Mo with Lavine. Seems like a good spot up shooter.

Probably Mbah a Moute as the ??? since he's friends with Embiid.

Nice. Was not expecting this, mostly because I had no idea he was available. He's only 31, so he must have something left.

What did you guys read/hear that makes you think Saunders is infatuated with Budinger? I personally love Budinger if he could stay healthy. Big if anymore though....I wanted him in the 1st round when he came out and was really excited when the Wolves signed him in FA, but that damn knee injury....

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
