It's not just Barea, it would also require cutting Hummel, who Flip just signed to a guaranteed deal this offseason.

Heslip won't make the team.

I just want to say that I absolutely think LaVine will be getting minutes from day 1. Yes, we have a lot of wing players that need minutes, and yes, LaVine will struggle at times. But I think Flip will give him a pretty long leash, as he will with Wiggins, and I think that from day 1 LaVine brings things to the table that nobody else on this team does, and maybe that nobody else in our franchise history has. His confidence in taking (and often making) difficult shots off the iso is something Flip might go to in crunch time, or at times when our offense is struggling. We'll see, maybe we'll have to play small ball to get all our wings minutes. Whatever the case, I think LaVine will be solidly in the rotation from day 1.
