The last 1/4 of the season where he didn't suck was primarily because he finally started getting minutes at the 2.

Hi Brian. Please stop reading and believing Chad Fraud's articles from weeks ago. It's bad enough to do so when they're still 'news'...

So Rubio's all out? Or will it take a huge bounty for the wolves to trade him away? What is this guy saying? seems like such ambiguous hedging

I conversed with Jon K a bit and he said this, basically.

-Rubio does not want out.
-Flip would trade him if a good offer came.
-Rubio wouldn't be mad if traded to a contender, wants to win, period.

Completely understand trading him however to me he seem like a near perfect fit for this team. I feel Rubio can be important in the development of the other players. He is a pass first point guard who sets a good example by how hard and smart he plays. We just need him to improve his effeiency and stay healthy.

Key word "healthy" Only thing that would hold him and the team back. which is why I could see him moved out. It just would be unfortunate.

God I hope he doesn't go. He's the reason why I became a fan in the first place.

If they trade Rubio, I'll grab a poster and form a picket line even the LGBT would be embarrassed by.

Yeah, if the right deal came for Rubio (someone massively overpaid for him) they would have to take it.

That doesn't mean he's going anywhere.

Flip has mentioned Ricky numerous times when talking about the core of this team and the leaders of this ball club. I don't for a minute believe this is true, especially since Ricky's value is probably at it's lowest from the injury + shooting problems.

Not to mention the veteran presence on this team goes down even more. Btw add me to that list in your sig.

Not someone worth listening to, imo.

This.

If someone were willing to massively overpay for Rubio, Wiggins, Towns or Crunch or whoever, they would be gone in a heartbeat. Winning championships is done by getting the best value for your trade chips, not bonding emotionally with your employees.

Well, actually, I don't have a clue what the 76ers are up to. But it seems fairly obvious that giving Grampa Kobe half of your capspace because he's loyal is not going to win you a championship (from a pure fiscal, business point of view, it might be worth it)

They traded everyone with any value away that they could. Normally I agree with your line of thinking, but when you included wiggins and towns I don't think they have any trade value because they're invaluable. You don't trade away a super star or a guy who has super star potential for anything. Okay Anthony Davis but other than him you get the idea!
