What do you guys think about KG owning the Wolves? Would he make a good owner?

As long as he didn't move the team, I can't see him being worse than Glen Taylor.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

I doubt that KG would want to be a minority owner with Glen still hanging around. I also doubt a KG-led group could come up with the 800 million-1 billion dollars it would take to buy out Glen

Maybe KG just buys in as a minority at first and then after some times buys enough 'shares' to get majority?

You also, do not know who else KG would get to be in the group?

KG has a 'net worth' of about $190M.

It's not like he'd spend his whole net worth or even a majority of it to just buy the Wolves anyway

It will be interesting to see who he might have in his group. That is if these reports are true.

KG is rich as hell. Compared to ownership of a sports franchise though he's pretty dirt poor. Maybe he can be the figurehead of a group, but not the main investor for sure. He'd have to find someone pretty damn rich who would also want to keep the Wolves in Minny. Not sure if there's a lot of those guys.

Does anyone know how much percentage Flip owns?

I'd need to know he intends to keep the team here before I got excited.

Although a group led by KG, Prince, Jimmy Jam, and Jesse Ventura could be the best in sports history

I'm glad he's showing interest. I guess we can thank Flip & Sam Mitchell's presence.

His brand definitely would be a bonus to have here.

Of course he would keep the team in Minny. That's the whole point of buying the Wolves for him.

I would also need to know that he doesn't want to go "Jerry Jones'* on the gig...:-)

The owners are the ones you rarely here from.

*For those not familiar with the NFL, Jerry Jones is owner of Dallas Cowboys, but also plays role of VP/GM/Scout/Coach/Head Cheerleader Evaluator. And his son is also in a front office decision maker role as well.

Why would he move the team? He still lives in Minny during the off season.
