Michael Beasley(why not give him another chance for the next year?)

Post#1 » by vagelis » Sun Jan 18, 2015 6:50 pm

Beasley is a very talented guy I think there is no doubt.
He can easily score a lot of points every night.
Why not bring him back for a minimum salary next year?

I would like to see something like that

Rubio/Mo
Wiggins/Lavine
Shabazz/trade
Beasley/Bennett
Towns/Dieng

Trade Pek/Martin/Young for a Real good Player in the guards or small forward.
What is your opinion?

He may work his way back into the league and it may even be this year in March when CBA season wraps up. I don't know if it'll be with the Wolves though, a team fighting for a 7/8 seed could be a likely destination.

Towns is a PF. Why play him out of position for Michael Beasley of all people? Especially when Towns and Dieng at PF and C would be very good, we have a better PF (bjelica) set to come over next year, and Pekovic would almost certainly still be on the roster to cover the backup C spot.

Perfect role model for Wiggins.

"Ok Andrew, we want you to watch Beasely really closely. Now do the complete opposite at all times."
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

This season Beasley is playing in China, but his history here stateside is still haunting him.

A woman filed a lawsuit against Beasley in Arizona Monday, alleging sexual assault, reports the Arizona Republic.

The woman accused Michael Beasley, who the Suns waived in September 2013 following an arrest for marijuana possession, of stripping her clothing, choking her until she was unconscious and repeatedly sexually assaulting her, according to court documents….

The woman claims that she and a friend went to a Scottsdale home that Beasley shared with a friend on Jan. 13, 2013 and that Beasley and the other man “physically overpowered, restrained, grabbed and groped,” the woman, according to court records. The lawsuit also states that the men “stripped her clothing from her, repeatedly choked her into unconsciousness, and repeatedly sexually assaulted and raped her.”

Beasley’s representatives have not commented on the incident.

Scottsdale police investigated this incident back in 2013 but did not file charges.

The one thing I would be sure about is Beasley’s NBA career is done. Before this likely, but it only adds to the reasons no team will go near the former No. 2 pick.

Very bazaar, Beasley always seemed like a good guy; all I ever heard was how he was an excellent teammate. Whether that is true or not, he is definitely screwed.

I love Beasley, but I wouldn't touch him with our young team.

Why not bring Jonny Flynn back from the dead while we're at it?

At 7' 250, I'm not sure Towns playing C is really out of position. I am sure a PF rotation of Bennett and Beasley would be pretty terrible though.

I guess my point was that Towns can play PF full time, and we already have two good and/or highly paid Cs on the roster and no starting PFs, so why wouldn't we be playing Towns at PF?

What makes you think that? I can see him playing PF in stretches when the matchups are favourable, but full time? That's a stretch.

EDIT; And no to Beasley. Even without the allegation above...he had his chances and all he could ever do was prove he was a tweener. What point is there to bringing him back?

He should stay in China. It did wonders for Marbury.

Draftexpress currently has him listed as a PF/C, and they have a very strong track record so I trust their judgment. Also, from what I've seen of him (which, admittingly, isn't a lot), I don't see any reason why he can't be a PF in the NBA.
