What do you guys think of Andre Miller?

Post#1 » by Calinks » Mon Jul 6, 2015 7:03 pm

It seems that finally, his age may be catching up to him but I think he can still be a helpful player for a team in limited minutes. I'm not convinced Jones will be ready for full back up point responsibilities and if Rubio does go down again for extended time, I don't want him starting and I dont want Zach starting or even playing a lot of point either.

I think Miller is a pretty good backup option. He is extremely smart and knows how to run a team. He knows how to play winning basketball and he is one of the highest quality basketball minds in the league. The knowledge he could impart on Tyus and even Rubio would be valuable. I think he would fit even better if we were actually realistically in the playoff mix but even still, if we can sign him I think we should consider it. I'd feel a lot better about the team if we had another veteran in the PG mix.

He'd have to sign for 1 year, other than that I'd be fine with it.

one of the best lob passers of all time. wouldn't mind having him around for a year, but I don't really see him ending his career with a rebuilding young team.

He's a guy that I've wanted in the past but I don't really see the fit or the roster space for him now.

I agree that it'd be ideal to have a capable veteran PG available. He would be great for the team, but I don't know why he'd choose to come here when he could join a true contender for once in his career.

There's a spot open if we don't bring back Hummel and Brown, and if we fill it, it probably should go to a guard. If we don't want to throw Tyus straight into the fire it makes sense.

I suppose. TBH, though, I think I'd rather have Hummel and Brown at this point for this team. That vet influence will become more important when the Wolves become a legit playoff contender but they aren't there yet.

I'm a bit torn. I do think he could really help but yes, it would be more valuable if we were def in the playoff picture. I think its something where I would at least gauge his interest and go from there. I really am worried about the PG position but at the same time a few more losses because of Tyus' inexperience may not matter in the overall scheme of things. I do think he could pass on some valuable knowledge though and help all the young players see how a veteran is supposed to operate. I think KG could use some help with that and Miller would be great.

I liked him instead of JJ on rosters the last few years, but it doesn't make sense this year. They are better off using that time to develop Jones, even if it's trial by fire like with Lavine last season.

I loved the idea of adding him 5 years ago... every year since I've been a bit less enthusiastic. I don't think the timing worked out so well, but there are plenty of guys I'd take him over still.

I think of Andre Miller like I think of Sevendust...only relevant in 2001.

One of my favorite players in the league and I still would love him on this team but why would he want to play for the Wolves? He should try to get a ring before it's too late.

I think he'd be a great fit for any of the contenders.

The first time the Wolves broke a young howo's heart on draft night was when they took Wally over Andre Miller, his favorite college player not named Bobby Jackson.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

Cleveland even offered us a great deal for Wally, including Miller, their later first rounder, and our choice of 2 of Sura, Derek Anderson, and one other guy. 2nd time they broke my heart. Sharron Mills over Nick The Quick was first.
