8, 3, 1, 2, 8, 9, 8, 1, 8, 1

Just ran the ESPN lottery machine ten times and had a unbelievably successful run. 5 top 3 selections including three #1 picks. Not gonna get my hopes up but I'm certainly looking forward to the lottery not just for us but for the futures on the line and the intrigue around who the winners and losers are.

Strange, but I woke up as a Knicks fan today

A tie for positions 6/7 isn't bad. Just a coin flip from a 6 pick. Much better than potentially picking 9th if the cost is only 1 more loss.

Go Knicks! Go Rockets! Lose the game, win the flip...

Fine print before someone brings up losing culture:

I am not suggesting the team signs a sharp shooting Mag Dog and purposely loses. I am just pointing out that the team that I usually cheer for is better off losing tonight so I will cheer for their opponent.

If I come down with a case of losing culture and I become a loser, that is on me.

Holy crap Knicks!!!!

Lottery odds:
1. Brooklyn 250/1,000
2. Phoenix 199/1,000
3. Los Angeles 156/1,000
4. Philadelphia 119/1,000
5. Orlando 88/1,000
t6. Minnesota 53/1,000
t6. New York 53/1,000

A coin flip is used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

The knicks board is comedic gold. Lol

The 6th and 7th slots have a sneaky history of jumping into the top two.

Top 7 pick guaranteed a good player and certainly can maybe swap if we wind up with say Monk or Fox instead of Isaac

A small correction: 7th is still not guaranteed, though. The worst possible spot would be 10th if the Wolves lost the coin flip and 3 teams jumped ahead of them and picked 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There's obviously a small probability that it happens, but having at least one of them in the top-3 while Minnesota falls another spot wouldn't be that strange.

Anyway, let's hope the Wolves are the lucky ones and end up picking 1st to 3rd.
