I'm curious what the consensus is for MIN fans, and for visitors as well.

I don't think anyone else will give up an asset nearly as good as Wiggins for Kyrie....it seems like an overpay.

I'd rather take Wiggens and his upside on a 5 yr extension then a 2 year rental in Kyrie Irving where in 2 years his agent is gonna be asking for the same type of contract Wall and Curry got(40-50mil). In the 2 years we d have Irving The warriors would stI'll be at the top of their game and heavy favorites. So u mortgage a teams long term future for a guy whose leaving in 2 yrs and might not like being a 3rd scoring option behind Butler and Towns.

Here's my view to a potential Wiggins/Aldrich - Irving trade...
Towns wants Irving
Butler wants Irving
Denver wants Irving
Irving wants Minnesota

If all these are true, then would I be just somewhat opposed to the trade rather than just completely opposed to it.

We don't know that Towns wants Irving at the expense of Wiggins.
(We don't technically know that about Butler either, but I would assume that's less of a roadblock for him.)

What i want to know is, with Tows and Butler apparently pushing for an Irving trade, how the hell does Wiggins feel?

Just read an idea on 3 way with DET and if Wolves get Bradley and Irving, that sounds like enough to me.

Irving/Bradley/Butler/Gibson/KAT
Teague/ScoreLord/Tony Allen/Bjelica/?

That would be pretty amazing. I could see that as being a Legit competitor to the Warriors.

Absolutely not. The thread should be appropriately named such as "Is there a even chance the Cavaliers can get Wiggins for Kyrie plus a filler."

I think it's a mistake to assume Towns and Butler pushed for an Irving trade with any type of forethought of who would be involved in the trade.
It's entirely possible, if not likely, that they heard Irving wants to be here and immediately were like "let's go get him!".

I am generally a 'no', but more because of fit with current roster than anything. But that said, if this is a deal Thibs wants to make, I hope he holds out for more coming back. Even if it's just some lottery protected picks. I agree Wiggins might be the best prospect by far CLE could get back(save BOS, PHI, etc. from entering the mix). Plus I think there is some postive value in any of the proposed 'filler' we might be tossing their way(Aldrich, Jones, Dieng, etc.).

I'm not as "up" for the trade as I was literally a day or two ago. Mostly because I don't think the franchise wants to do it and I trust the plan.

I don't really believe in Wiggins temperment to jump to a level of superstar that Kyrie is already on but it is what it is. If thibs and the rest of the FO wanted this trade the wheels would have been in motion already.

If it can some how be pulled off without moving Wiggins, it's a no brainer. I guess why not also, it's obvious in the current state of the nba that 4 stars is necessary to compete for a ring in the west. I doubt Kyrie/his agent can gather enough leverage to force the trade without Wiggins but I sure hope it's being pushed.

Agreed. Towns and Wiggins are very tight (Wiggs recently called him his best friend in the NBA) I really doubt he went to Thibs and said "trade Drew for Kyrie, whatever it takes".
