If he was a terrific passer he would’ve averaged more than 2.5 assists per game.

Ftr, I’ve been watching basketball religiously since 1982.

So by your standards, Kevin Garnett (1.3 assists per game) was a terrible passer?

KG averaged 3.8 assists per game.

By the metric standard given by Notes, he’s definitely a “terrific” passer.

Slow down, Klomp.

He didn't have to pass more because he was almost unstoppable once he got the ball. There was less chance of his team scoring when he passed the ball than when he kept it.

He averaged 3.1 APG as a Laker. including back-to-back years of 3.7 and 3.8.

He was a very good passer.

But not terrific.

Heck, the pro-Shaq posters can’t agree how good he was at passing.

If Shaq didn’t pass because he was so good then why didn’t he average more assists when he was NOT in his prime? Maybe he should’ve passed more.

Shaq was not that type of guy. His assist to turnover ratio was NEGATIVE for his career.

Shaq’s entire game was post up, two dribbles, finish.

That’s why he detests the way modern bigs play.

I was watching Rudy’s locker room interview off my DVR, when it goes to YouTube I will post the clip. Two important quotes from Rudy tonight. 1. “Sometimes the pain of watching hurts more than the injury itself.” 2. “I got elbowed a couple times. I didn’t get the call, but I got elbowed in the chest a couple times. It hurts but I am able to get up and keep playing, so that is a good sign.”

Very encouraging words from Rudy the Go Bear!

Yes seems the Refs let some players hit him several times and as usual, not much fouls given. Rudy is a warrior as is ANT. Hope KAT can get back on time and we will be fine.

By the way we play GSW in 2 days. Should sit Rudy on my opinion for this game and Detroit one. Give him some time to recover more and avoid Draymond dirty play...

I'd love to see that. That being said, if he does it he's probably gonna get suspended. He ain't Draymond and the Warriors, the league doesn't love us like that.

Gobert complained about a box out. That's pretty soft, Paul Pierce ain't exactly tough as nails either tho.

Draymond is biased, an idiot, and 100% correct about this. At best Gobert is third behind Wemby and AD.

I don't see how you can give the defensive player of the year award to a player on a team that won 22 games. Did his defense really changed the outcome of many games? Davis has been good but Lakers (like SAS) also give up a lot of points too. They may even be even or slightly better individual defenders but Gobert wins this year with his overall impact.

The award is for defensive player of the year. Not who is on the better team. Wemby is by far the single most disruptive defensive force in the league - and it's not even close. What AD brings is the actual ability to guard players farther than two feet from the basket.

Because "stocks" are all the rage, Wemby is at 4.82/game and AD is 3.55. Hell, Holmgren is third, Lopez is fifth, and SGA is sixth - those three won a lot of games. All ahead of Gobert at ninth. There is greater difference between Wemby and AD in per game stocks than there is between Holmgren and the next 40 players. That is how ridiculously dominant Wemby was this season.
