Sounds like it's a standard rest-of-season contract. At least until we're told differently.

On Flagrant Howls, Phil and Kyle flippantly said Luka might be the guy who gets the next-loudest cheers at Target Center after Naz Reid. And after I thought about it, it might actually be true...Ant is probably the only other guy in the discussion.

But it's interesting, Luka right now is probably a lot like 2019-20 Naz Reid. I don't necessarily think he'd be on the same development trajectory, but it's interesting to wonder where he could wind up.

I like Luka too, and his effort alone makes him likeable, but fans have always cheered when an end-of bench guy gets in. Mark Madsen, for example.

I had never thought about the Naz comparison because of all of Luka’s acclaim as a college player, but you’re probably right. Both were lightly drafted big men, both are hard workers, and both transformed their bodies. I don’t know if Luka has the athletic potential to grow that Naz does, but there are a lot of similarities here.

I think a big thing is Naz has basically transformed himself into a 3/4. I can't imagine Luka being anything but a 5.

Cheer, yes. But it gets very loud for Luka.

Yes, the Iowa factor is likely a big part of it for Luka.

Dane essentially confirmed this at the end of his podcast today with Britt.

Somebody sign Caitlyn Clark,

That would be interesting. She would bring a massive amount of national media. But, can she shoot with a man’s ball? Also can she survive a shot to the head from an NBA big? Those elbows are viscous.

Zero shot that Caitlin Clark enters the NBA.

Of course not. I forget sometimes that tone doesn’t translate online.

Nancy Lieberman played professional basketball with men. Only one I know of.

In 1986, Lieberman signed with the Springfield Fame of the men's professional United States Basketball League (USBL) where she went on to average 1.7 points in 11 minutes per game.
