The Wolves are only adding $800k in the trade. In addition the team will need to fill a 14th roster spot with a vet minimum deal ($700-800K for the rest of the season) after which they should be just under the luxury tax threshold.

A “swap spit” move … little to no impact vs. Bogdanovic … more insurance

During the offseason my hope was that the Wolves would bring back their top 8, upgrade the backup PG position, and trade up for a good developmental prospect in the draft. They have now accomplished all of my wish list.

Bogdanovic would be great, but how do you get him?

On paper, sure. Just have to hope that he returns to form, from the injury.

Wow. 2030 2nd rounder.

I hope its true and we trade him. Liked his Swiss army knife approach and solid high iq vet presence last season. But oh my god has he been awful this season. Just grating to watch how his weaknesses exposes the team.

I don’t get it. Why is the deal not announced. Maybe physicals holding it up?

Yeah I was trying to be nice. I remember last couple months moments where he was running down the clock at clutch buzzer beater time just running into a wall and losing the ball. Was infuriatingly limited in scoring.

Could be physicals.

Could be a deal done in principal, but looking for a 3rd team to make it a bigger deal.

Could be that he's upset about trade rumors.

Could be a misunderstanding.

Could literally be nothing - or incorrect info. SloMo is not big on social media. His last IG post was when he got married 57 weeks ago, and his his Twitter header is still him as a member of the Grizzlies.

Or did he delete all his IG posts from the last 57 weeks? I don't know exactly how IG works so not sure if you can see that.

With the Morris deal done, I'll be curious to see what the team does to shore up the wing shooting.

There are also some players (like Giannis) that randomly unfollow their own teams at the deadline, just for their own amusement.

That said, acquiring a back up PG probably makes Kyle more expendable, since it would have likely been one of his playoff responsibilities. Still, with Monte questionable, and all the clubhouse ties SloMo has, I wouldn’t take the unfollowing as a sure signal he is going to be traded. Maybe, maybe not.

Nah. He's not a social media guy. At all.

The question is for whom? Not a lot of 9-10m guys out there that would boost us. Maybe Burks.

My guess is we are done for the deadline, and we’ll try to sign a wing/shooter in the buyout market: Fournier, Hayward, etc.

Wow. 2030 2nd rounder.

I am a little mixed on this one as the only game I watched was Morris' best game. According to stats, he sucked in all the other games.

We still have the 2024 2nd ( which is more valuable than 2030 2nd), I think we have a wing shooter coming in.

He's played 68 minutes this year - coming off an injury.

I'd grade him on the last 5 years, not the most recent "5 minutes".
