Luka Garza has played really well tonight. Good for him. This game has to help him going forward.

Too many missed free throws. Too many missed open 3s. Too many missed layups. This is a game we had no business being in, and yet we were. Just too many unforced errors.

Maybe this game, against this opponent opens that up a bit. If it's not happening tonight however, sit em early. Then cry havoc and let slip the timberpuppies of war.

Well said. Totally agree.

Me too. This team doesn’t look for excuses to put in a half-hearted effort. They always fight.

Credit to Finchy, and Tim Connelly for finding guys with that mentality.

We need an aggressive Jaden going forward. He wasn’t thinking, just playing. Same for Kyle, just be aggressive

Couldn't watch the game. Looking at the score, it feels like a good loss ( if there is such a thing). It's ironic that we went from having too many centers to have no centers in lass than a month. It's still a good confidence builder and give JMcd to build him game up. Maybe Gaza could replace KA next year?

This one should not have been close, heroic effort from the guys and came up just short.
Took an MVP performance to beat us, missing our top 3 bigs.

Got beat by some big time shot making from Jokic and Porter and there is no shame in that.
We had to be almost perfect to win, and off the back to back and coming off a 6 game road trip, shots were just a little flat and a little bit off all night. Ant got us back into the game in the 3rd quarter and then kind of ran out of gas.
The fresh legs and shooting was the difference in the game.

The defense in the 3rd quarter was amazing, even much maligned Luka was defending really well and grabbed a really tough rebound away from Joker at one point.

We gave up 70 points in the first 24 minutes, 19 points over the next 16 minutes, and 26 over the final 8 minutes (alot of that padded with free throws at the end).
We kind of found something and were really able to disrupt their offense in the 2nd half, being able to play extra aggressive without less mobile bigs.
In the first half though Denver really capitalized on their size advantage with a smart coach and veteran players.

Hopefully this gets Jaden his confidence back because if we get this version of him in the playoffs, the sky is the limit if we are healthy.

I was ready to punt this game at tipoff, so such a hard fought loss to the full strength defending champs was still a really good watch for me tonight.

And I am so sick of all the marginal contact whistles from the brand managers going so lopsidedly against us, it was ridiculous in the first half.

There's no such thing as a good loss, but it was a great effort.

If Mike and NAW had played anywhere close to their recent highs we would have been fine tonight. Tough night for two of our top 4 scorers to disappear.

One nice trend that has been emerging is that we have been winning the turnover battle pretty handily since KAT went out.

17-7 tonight, that's 10 extra possessions. That gives you a little better margin for error with your offensive efficiency.
We have not been getting to the line well though.

We also lose the rebound battle, which costs us possessions. Our 3 point makes have also been down overall (a couple games were exceptions.) There are trade offs.

Mike score all his 13 in the fourth at clutch. This is why he is so important. We miss a couple of 3 , we suffer at rebounding as expected… but we fight hard. Proud of this team .

Genuinely proud they fought so hard and refuse to give up when size and quality difference was this big for this matchups absences.

It should been a blow out loss logically when KA started with 3 fouls in first 2 minutes, to be abused by size with huge lead rest of game. But our collection of wings and depth guards had different idea. Neck and neck affair until final 3 minutes when Nuggets closed out with lethal finishing.

If we had better 3 point shooting we could gotten a heroic win.

It's been fun seeing offense again without the lane constantly being clogged. Perimeter defense looking good too. Naz would fit into these lineups for a little bit more scoring. But playing this well without the plodders may actually help the Wolves with some lineup combinations needed in the playoffs. Regardless, they are fun to watch.
