Jordan, our team looked lost, Jordan would have clogged up the lanes and gotten high % shots helping our pathetic FG %. Our coach forced this team into a zone that wasn't working the whole time, so all the Blazers had to do was pass around the perimeter and hit up Jones or any open player that can nail a jumper.

Biggest problem
--zone defense, stupid against a shooting team
--lack of consistant outside scorer
--gave up too many offensive rebounds (product of zone?)
--according to yahoo.com we had 9 dimes as a team
Positives
--Al Jefferson

Even the biggest Jordan lovers know he will not be able to contribute anything for at least a year or 2.

I agree, but it is an interesting thing to look at how we lost and who would have helped.
I think Foye is the clear answer, but we will have him back regardless.

You guys need a couple vets (not of the Buffet table kind) and Randy Foye stat. I still like your team alot and don't understand how they only have 4 wins. Foye/McCants/Brewer if he bulks up/Jefferson/Whoever.. or get a elite PG prospect make McCants a sixth man. I feel for you guys the Blazers were absolutely horrible but you are in a great position for down the line. It is just grueling getting there..

Spot on. They needed a perimeter scorer and defender. The only thing I'll say against Al is that he needs to pass out on the double team. But do you really blame him?

New Coach. I know it's tough with a young team and injuries, but as was said in the broadcast the effort is there, the execution is not. That lies on Wittman.
This isn't a .500 caliber team, but better coaching would have them considerably better. Anyone think with a better coach we couldn't be at least 10-21 now?

I am not sure of the record, what I do know is a zone defense against a shooting team is not a smart idea and yet we still did that. Which also hurt our rebounding.

I think I meant to pick Mayo. Still don't know a lot about Mayo and Rose, but isn't Mayo considered a better defender?

Wittman scratching his head. He is ALWAYS scratching his head and seemingly clueless on what is wrong. I think we need to be worried about a coach that never has any answers and seems dumbfounded by his teams play/ Isn't it his job to figure this out?
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
