So one time I was matching salaries and like you came to the conclusion that 22 million in incoming salaries was within 125% +/- $100,000 of two million. It gave me pause though, because even though Al Jefferson is already more valuable than a departing Boozer and overpaid AK I liked how we only had to give up our third pick to compensate for that discrepancy. 23 must be pretty valuable in your eyes.

Well let's break it down, ranked by value it goes.

Jefferson
#3
Boozer
Andrei Kirilenko
#23

So no, I wouldn't do the trade.

I don't want the OP to have to come in here and leave empty handed, so I'll do the trade

How about something a bit simpler like Madsen, #34 for Jarron Collins?

Strictly a money move. Collins' contract ends one year sooner than Madsen's. Utah gets to roll the dice on a second rounder and brings the only Mormon player (that I'm aware of) in the NBA to Utah. They rarely ever play Collins anyway.

Yes. Good trade on both ends.

Madsen for Collins straight up is worthy of consideration. Think of what Larry Miller could do with Madsen. I mean in car adds, not on the court.

I don't think Utah would do that since Madsen does have an extra year on his contract. That's why the second rounder would be involved.

I think the Wolves would rather just sell the second rounder, if it came to it.
