Felton anyone

Post#1 » by delux55 » Sun Jun 29, 2008 5:26 pm

With the Bibcats drafting Augustin to be there pg of the future they might be looking to move him in a deal. I for one would be a big fan of bringing him in and seeing what he can do. Either challenging Foye for the starting pg job or getting big minutes of the bench at the pg while Foye can get some minutes at sg.

I dont know exactly what theyd be looking for but I would be very interested in trying to get him on the wolves

I know that McCants and Felton were teammates but I think that McCants would have to be on his way out if Felton is coming in. There can only be so many guards that don't play good defense getting minutes. I imagine that one/two of the 09 picks would need to be added.

Well I have somewhat seen the Bobcats board and managed to watch a few of there games this year and Felton I think has a lesser chance of becoming a solid PG than Foye, and he doesnt have the shooting ability or size to become a competent SG. I'd rather take a chance on a Duhon or re-sign Bassy than give up good assets to get Felton.

14.4pts 7.4assists 1.2 steals

Ipersonally dont think FOye will ever touch those numbers. He might score 15 a night but Foye will never be more than a 4 or 5 assist a night guy

I disagree. Foye will put up those numbers next year. There's too many scoring options on the team now for him not too.

13.1ppg 4.2apg 0.9spg

Foye, in a half a season coming off a knee injury in his sophomore year not to mention he doesnt have the Jason Richardsons and Gerald Wallaces of the world to rack up assists all day.

You forgot to mention Felton's absurd TO's he has never averaged under 2.3, with his high being 2.95 and this past season he averaged 2.7 TO. Foye's worse was 2.03

To put it in perspective, Shad averaged 2.29 TO's last year. And we thought he had a bad turnover problem.

Theres enough decent backup pgs in free agency that we don't need to trade for felton.

You have to think...why is he so trade able now when just a year or two ago he was untouchable.

and he isnt worth keeping coming off the bench as he has no shooting ability and is turnover prone.

which is just more reason not to go for him. the cost is not worth the risk.

If it is Felton for McCants, we ought to do it in a hearbeat. Larry Brown doesn't like Felton, but that doesn't change the fact that he's an above average player at a position of need for us - and just a better player than Rashad...
