There are 96 minutes at th 4 and 5. Jefferson gets 35, Love gets 30, Collins gets 15, Chris Richard gets 15, Mark Madsen gets 1. If Smith comes back he can get minutes from Love, Ricard, and Collins. Seems fine to me is Love is ready for big minutes.

I see...so we apparently do not need another defensive minded 7 footer to compliment Jefferson....then we wouldnt have to talk abot POB for a long time i guess.....now all we need is a backup point guard if Telfair is not returning....i hope he does return tho

A shot blocker is on the list of long term needs, I don't think it's a pressing one right now, since we actually have some bodies for the frontcourt, as opposed to the last couple years. The only reason we were interested in POB is because he's a local guy that might have some potential and was worth kicking the tires on.
The only pressing question right now is who Foye's backup will be, Jeter, Ahearn, Telfair, or a vet TBD.

"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I think they take one of the summer league PG regardless of Telfair. Jeter, Ahern, or Nietzle get signed as a third PG, or maybe someone off of someone else's summer league team. Who will be the 2nd PG is more of a question.

I really hope Telfair comes back, I think he would be more valuable than Gomes because of the current make up of the team.

Jefferson gets 35, Love gets 30, Collins gets 15, Chris Richard gets 14, Mark Madsen gets 2
I was thinking two minutes for Maddog. That would give him enough time to jack a three.

Love-Jefferson-Gomes get the bulk of the minutes with Richard and Collins getting the scraps. It is a very good 4-5 rotation. We can deal with a long term guy next year.
Unless there is any truth to a NJ sean+Marcus trade. Wow, I would love that.

Re: POB signed with celtics, which Big should wolves target now?
I have nothing about the NJ trade. It just seems everyone is talking that NJ is trying to unload Marcus williams and either Sean Williams or Josh Boone. I dont even know if we talked to them or not, just a classic rumor.
POB played high school ball in Blaine. He was awful.
I still think Love-Jefferson-Gomes with RIchard and Collins is a very nice front court. I personally doubt Booth is on the open day roster. Nothing against his talent, just comments from his agent saying "his contract has been traded" instead of saying "Booth is joining the wolves" agents think before they speak and there is meaning there.

Gomes can't see a lot of time at 4. That doesn't work. I think Collins is going to be a bigger part of this team next year than you think. We all thought Theo was going to be a nothing before last season, too. I don't think Collins will have that big an impact, but it's not going to be zero either.

Re: POB signed with celtics, which Big should wolves target now?
Most teams play half the game with a standard 5-4-3-2-1 line up. The other half a team might go 4-3-2-2-1 or something in that sense. Gomes works as a 3/4 in that line up. Where he can play next to Love or Al. The problem last year is we always had that line up so teams matched up. Now we can play classic or go small. No problems. Just more arrows to fire sir.

What is steven hunter doing? Just rotting at the end of the bench in DEN. Maybe with Najera gone he will get more minutes. Maybe.
