Kirk Snyder inquiry...

Post#1 » by illastrate » Fri Jul 25, 2008 5:45 pm

Just how good is he? Offensively and defensively? I know he can jump, but what else is there to his game? How much is he worth? Excuse me for my ignorance. Thanks in advance!

I'll say that he was a lot better than I thought he'd be. He's athletic and a pretty good scorer and defender. That said he did have some points where he was erratic, almost by trying to do too much. I think he'd be a good bench guy for some team. Seems hungry to improve and appeared to be coachable.

How much is he worth is subjective. But if I was a veteran team looking for an 8-9 man type who could provide some spark I think he'd be worth $2 million on a short term contract.

He is a very good hustle guy who can take it to the basket, but will likely be the 3rd or 4th goto guy while on the floor.

Many Wolves fans were impressed, and we basically stole him from the Rockets.

Kirk Snyder is the Nintendo Wii version of Lebron James.

I thought with the opportunity we have Kirk he did very well. When he was on the floor he looked to get other people involved, although his long game range is not great, he can drive and finish and is not affraid of contact. He proved that when given burn he is a good nba player. Needs imporvement on shot selection. I wish him well because he is better than most people think.

Thanks all for your assessments. I figured Kirk was that kind of player: young, athletic, and skilled. It's just he bounces around so much, no one's really given him a chance. I'm a Clipper fan and I was disappointed that Golden State matched our offer on Azubuike. And I thought that Snyder might be just as good of a pickup as Azubuike, but just doesn't get the publicity he does.
