Miller/Smith for Alston/Battie?
Alston would be a major upgrade at PG (not that it says much), and Battie provides a vet big that plays some defense. Plus we save about one million dollars.

I think we'd need a hair extra in the deal, but I'd posted that on the trade forum about a month ago, and Orlando fans loved it.

Shoot, here I thought I was a genius.
FYI I've tried on 2k9, and ORL wants me to add a 2nd.

Then we must add a 2nd.
I commented this on rev's profile on facebook when you posted it...
basically:
I wouldn't: Alston/Battie too old, good fit, but would only hurt our pick next year when we aren't contending anyway.

Thriving on mediocrity since '89.

yeah, feels more like a stop gap than a long term solution...I think Miller can be better spent other ways.

Re: ORL/MIN
As others have stated.
I think it would help out our team in the wins category, and if we are playing for wins next year then we should do it (maybe try to get a future pick out of them as well).
But, I think Miller has more value around the league than Alston would, so I would prefer to keep Miller and trade him for someone else and get more future assets.

I saw too much of Alston in HOU to think he can really succeed here.
