McHale Out

Post#1 » by RD&KG2 » Wed Jun 17, 2009 4:54 am

According to Kevin Love's Twitter as of 11:50 this evening... He said it's a sad day.

Personally I wanted to see him back, but at least we know now and can move on from here.

Wow... Okay then. what now.

I know KLove liked McHale a lot and vice versa. I wonder if Kahn said that he is pushing hard for a KLove trade and that was the straw that broke the camels back. I know Kevin said he is not getting traded....the timing is just odd.

Yeah. It makes me wonder if McHale wasn't the one telling Love he wasn't about to get traded.

I wonder if this means that we'll be seeing Bill Laimbeer welcomed in as head coach in the next few days?

So after all this time the news is broken on Twitter? Is Kahn going to come out and officially announce his decision any time soon, or has he already fled Minnesota?

I'll remember him fondly as the man who brought the 3 best players in Wolves history here: KG, Jefferson, and K Love

lol @ Twitter breaking this news. I love his next one:

"P.S. I am not a breaking news guy...I had no idea no one knew..I'll tell them I stayed at a holiday inn express last night. Always works...."

Yeah, definitely will be weird not having Kevin McHale be a part of the franchise in some big way, but I think I'll make it lol.

He's probably going to be a much better coach than he was an executive. If Minny had stayed healthy they would have had a solid record in under him. I was surprised at how quickly he took the reigns and had a significant impact. I'd hire him to coach my team anyday.

It was pretty obvious he wasn't going to stick around and coach the Wolves though, not with how things went down.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

I assumed it was going to work after having several meetings. Have to wait for something more offical...
