No.

Jonny
Mayo
Brewer
Al
Hollins

Wow, we could have had this. Now, we have no go to guy, and we have problems with our big men. Don't deny it.

I will take a shot at this:

I will assume we get lucky and win the lottery - and draft John Wall

That leads to a problem down the road - to many point guards (Rubio, Flynn, Sessions, Wall) at least 1 maybe 2 need to go. I will ditch 1 of them for now.

I trade Rubio and the Bobcats pick (10 -12) to get Evan Turner (assuming this would be the Pacers or 76ers around 3 or 4) - some might see this as to much but I think Turner is worth it

With the third first round pick (around 19) I select - Greg Monroe (I am using draft express and they have him going 23rd)

Summer 2010
I sign Brendan Heyward (c)
I sign Travis Outlaw (sf)
I sign JJ Reddick (sg)
I also make an offer to Michael Redd despite the injury - I think we could get him by offering him a deal when alot of teams will shy away due to the injury - regardless he wont see the floor before 2011

That gives us the following

Wall/Flynn/Sessions
Turner/Ellington/Reddick
Outlaw/Brewer/Gomes
Love/Monroe
Jefferson/Heyward/Hollins

With this lineup I am going to "try" and play Wall and Flynn together FYI so my starters are not exactly as listed above.

In 2010/2011 season I could see moving any of the following players - Flynn, Sessions, Brewer, Love, Jefferson, Gomes or Hollins to add to the strength of the team or to flexibility.

This is where i would start - it adds talent and improves our outside shooting without locking us into a long term deal with a player that may or may not show up all the time-- (Rudy Gay).

Why stop there? Don't forget Roy, Allen, Billups, and KG.

Hey Mayo --

I suggest you look at some advanced statistics. Mayo is the 4th most important player on that team, behind Randolph, Gasol, and Gay. His PER is 16.5 and his opponent PER is 17.6.

Love is waaayyyyyy better than Mayo and if we decided to trade Love now we could net a much better player than Mayo.

Trade with LAL:
Al Jefferson + Ryan Hollins for Andrew Bynum, Adam Morrison and LAL 1st

Trade with HOU
Ryan Gomes+Ramon Sessions+Mark Blount+Brian Cardinal for Tracy McGrady and HOU 2011 1st

2010 Offseason:
PG:Flynn,xxx
SG:Brewer,Ellington
SF:xxx,xxx
PF:Love, Pekovic
C:Bynum,Pekovic

Draft Picks: MIN 1st, CHA 1st, UTH 1st, Hou 1st, LAL 1st, 2nds...(not sure which ones we own)

Plan A
Make every effort to do a sign and trade for Lebron on MAX deal: MIN 1st+Rubio+other firsts and creating a TPE.

PG:Flynn
SG:Brewer
SF:James
PF:Love
C:Bynum

Good Lord this team would be scary in a triangle and fast break type offense. Biggest need would be a sharpshooter ala. J.J. Reddick.

Plan B
Offer 2nd and 3rd highest picks to LAC for MIN 1st returned.
With MIN pick draft BPA (lot of talented wings at the top).

Trade other 1st rounders for future 1sts

PG: Flynn
SG: Turner
SF: Brewer
PF: Love
C: Bynum

and cap space ~20 million. Offer a blockbuster (similar to James sign and trade) to NO for Chris Paul.

Basically sums up as getting Bynum, moving for more cap space, and then throwing everything into trying to get a true superstar.

We're the best outside shooting team in the league :).

Exactly. So if Mayo is so great why would we still have a high of enough pick to draft Flynn?

We would still suck, but we would be more exciting to watch.

Here's my idea (today anyway...):

1- Make no trades this year, except something like the Tucker trade
2- Trade Sessions, Gomes, our 2nds, and cap space for Kirilenko, Price and NYK's 1st
3- Draft Turner(MN pick), Aldrich(NYK pick), Vesley(CHA pick- let him stay in Europe another year), and Gordon Hayward(UTH pick)
4- Sign Pekovic for less than the MLE
5- Fill out the roster with vet minimum players
6- Let them play together up to the deadline
Flynn-Price-vet
Turner-Ellington-vet
Brewer-Kirilenko-Hayward
Love-Pekovic-vet
Jefferson-Aldrich-Hollins
7- Move Jefferson for expirings and cheap assets/picks
8- In the off season- sign either Melo or Durant, bring Rubio and Vesley over, and resign Brewer
9- Pay lux tax and reap benefits for years and years...

Rubio-Flynn-vet
Tuner-Brewer-Ellington
Melo/Durant-Hayward-vet
Love-Vesley-vet
Aldrich-Pekovic-Hollins

Championship!

This thread is funny...

I would rather watch Love play than Mayo. But maybe that's just me.

Oh and we would still be paying Jaric so I doubt they would have gone after Hollins. That also means no Sessions.

Those players don't make a difference on a bad team.

That isn't very impressive. Brewer could certainly do that. I imagine Flynn could too.

*And the reason I mentioned Hollins was that you have him in your starting lineup.

I'm sure, but it's just not online. Oh, and Mayo=16,500 crowd of people in one highschool game. That's more than what we do as a professional team.

No Sessions, no Pav = Hollins

I've seen Mayo plenty of times, and he isn't all that exciting. Gay is the much more dynamic player.

And LeBron is more exciting than Gay.
