pittsburghsportsinsider is reporting this as well as KDKA sports. Reliable sources. I wouldn't be suprised at all. He's been this teams captain this past season, just didn't have the 'C' on his jersey.

Well, the only big news is that now he has the C on the jersey... I think he's been a captain for a while now like you said.
