I know it's sad.

I guess Nabokov needs to come out of the crease, run into people and fall down.

I hate to say it but If Marleau doesn't show up in game 6 and the Sharks lose.

I'd shop Marleau in the offseason.

This is the Second year in the Row where Marleau has disappeared in the second round.

Let's look at the bright side. At least they can go ahead and get their tee times for tomorrow during the 1st intermission.

For real... the Sharks were MIA after blowing game 4... team just isnt that resilient, unfortunately. Now we're faced with losing Guerin, which I'm very ok with...

But the next season still looks good for us... hopefully we can retain our offensive core (Thornton, Marleau, Cheechoo, Michalek), our good youth (Bernier, Pavelski, Clowe) and our bruiser (Grier) while adding a few good defensemen... which is really and will continue to be our Achilles'.

That said... I wouldnt be adverse to seeing some changes on the frontline either, most notably Cheechoo. I dont want to say his 50 goal season was an aberration, but I do think it was a bit much more than he's good for, which I believe is in the 35-40 goal range consistently. On that note... if we could nab an elite defender or a more aged, experienced (playoff preferably) goal scorer for him, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'd give Cheech another year. I think it's safe to say he was never the same after the Hartnell knee and elbow.
