There is no way the 76ers are taking a guy who isn't that good of a jump shooter in a position they're already so strong at (Iguodala, Young), so no need to panic.

Yet they have 2 PF's with Brand/Spreights already. Why draft another PF? They can't play C.

They need a PG/SG/C, and Turner fills that SG spot.

that was my initial thought...and the Nets get to choose who they want at PF...

Lets break this down...

I mean, there is a legitimate argument for Philly to take Cousins or Favors and in all honesty, they are both elite level big men prospects, for real, so we'll see.
There's always the chance we trade the pick as well, I just don't know for who, because with a new owner in New Orleans, I don't see them trading Chris Paul anymore and there aren't really many other players worth it that might be available.
Maybe Carmelo Anthony...

We'll see. I agree that it's a lot more likley they take Turner, but they supposedly have the point guard spot locked up with Jrue, Brand is old and finished, it's likely Dally's last year, Speights is a so-so prospect and is said to be dumber then a box of rocks. Stranger things have happened.

But in all seriousness, Washington and Philly could pull a Memphis in the draft and draft a Thabeet, this is what I'm hoping for.

Have you watched Brand in Philly? Every sixer fan wants him out of there, Speights is solid but there's likely a better choice.

Or do you think you try to move it. Maybe absorb Brands contract to move up and get turner? Thoughts?

Not a chance in hell, NJ eats the corpse of Brand just to swap Cousins/Favors and Turner.

I'd take Favors. I know I have said that Cousins could be better, but Favors is likely the better fit next to Brook and a lot of the experts say he has a much higher upside, although I don't know if I agree. Cousins also has some attitude issues, although I think they're very overstated. Favors reminds me of Kmart a little something...

I think the consensus would be Favors, but everytime I watch highlights, I come back to Cousins...

Of all the teams that could have been #2, Philly might have been the one most likely to consider Favors or Cousins over Turner.

Obviously I'm not happy, but at least it isn't a team like Minnesota or Golden State that got #2.

so do we pick Favors just because of how he would fit next to Brook?...I do agree it would be the better fit...

Agreed. The only better team to have gotten 2nd if we fell to 3rd out of the likely suspects would have been Sacramento.
