Re: Official NBA Game Thread
The Pistons suck so much.
And I love how Knicks fans are completely silent now after they kept saying that we were only winning because we had a soft schedule...WTF do you call this cupcake stretch that they've got until the end of February?
Going by strength of schedule (SOS) on basketball reference, the Knicks have had the 28th strongest schedule in the league at -0.57...which means it's been the 3rd weakest schedule. And that's only going to go down after tonight.
We haven't had a super difficult schedule either, but we're ranked 16th at -0.03. And that's going to go up after tomorrow night's game.

the knicks arent 16-0 vs. scrub teams and what like 7-17 against good teams like we are. they have beaten good teams, multiple times. i think they are worse then their record, but not by much, and certainly havent been as big of bottom feeders as we are.

Re: Official NBA Game Thread
It depends on your definition of "good teams". The Bucks and Hawks, who we have lost to, but are also kind of gimmicky teams that will be exposed in the playoffs when the game slows down, are not good teams imo.
The good teams the Knicks have beaten are the Spurs 2x, the Heat 2x, the Pacers, the Nets 2x, the Nuggets, and the Lakers.
We've beaten the Clippers, the Knicks 2x, the Thunder, the Pacers, and the Bulls.
That's 9 quality wins vs 6 quality wins. And quite a few of our losses against good teams like the Jazz, the Bulls, and the Lakers were a result of Avery being a dunce.
The Knicks aren't better than us...they've benefitted from a super soft schedule and the fact that their coach isn't incompetent.
And good teams are supposed to beat bad teams...it should actually raise questions why the Knicks have lost to the Mavericks, Blazers, and Kings. And they've got some pretty embarrassing blowout losses themselves.

I firmly believe we'd beat the Knicks in a 7 game series. We match up really well versus the Knicks all over the court.
The Knicks don't want to be playing Brooklyn in the playoffs at all.

Re: Official NBA Game Thread
I think it depends which Nets team decides to show up and which Knick team decides to show up.
If both teams are playing at their best, it would be a very tough matchup.
If we're playing like we do against most +.500 teams, then we'd lose, but if we actually get up for the game and aren't so passive and careless, it'd be too close to call.

Re: Official NBA Game Thread
So there is an article on Pau that if both D'Antoni and D12 are back for the Lakers, he'll probably ask out...(http://www.latimes.com/sports/basketbal ... ull.column)
but D12 isn't even given indications that he wants to stay and play with Kobe (http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... sed-season)
In fact, he says the EXACT same thing he said in Orlando, "I'm here right now to win a championship this season".
Interesting times in LA...interesting times...

Howard on if he gets along with Bryant:
“I believe it’s getting better than the start of the year and it’s growing”
“Now we understand, in order for us to win we have to be on the same page”
On all Kobe’s shots
“playing with Kobe Bryant, he’s gona get em up”
“I can’t allow not getting shots to effect my game, do I want touches..yeh”
SAS: Do you feel you should get touches even though you cant make a free throw
“I got it in Orlando”
He’s gone…

But are ATL and DAL much better options?
If he goes to either of those teams, they won't be that great, unless he wants to wait for the 2013 offseason to have a superstar join him.
This is the perfect time for BK to step in and give a solution to the problem lol.
If he starts cutting salary, just watch...

Your forgetting about his best option in free agency......Houston!!
Go play with Harden and some good young pieces around him with Asik a major trade chip to bring in top level role players around Harden and Howard. Houston could even send Asik for Josh Smith in a sign and trade if they land Howard.
Now SAS has a new article out: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_ ... mmit-split
So it's just a coincidence all these drama in LA around the time the Lakers go to Brooklyn...Dwightmare is on again people

No, the rumor mill is churning because LAL is playing Brooklyn.
With us playing LAL, of course any thing Dwight-related will be brought up and stories will be spun.
However, if HOU has the cap room, then that's a huge incentive for the Lakers to deal him out of conference.
BK better be on this...

Man, I'm just getting so pissed watching Iggy, because we could have easily had him instead of Wallace. He's better in every way than Wallace, and it's really not debatable. And that was obvious when we actually traded for Wallace too.
Really can't comprehend the hard-on that King had for Wallace, what exactly did he see in him that he didn't see in Iggy?
