How would you guys feel about Becky Hammon?

Nope. She could turn out to be a nice coach but that's an extremely risky hire right now.

The only way its risky is if the roster make up consists of players who are jackasses that wouldn't respect her simply -because- she is a woman, and not because she's screwing up coaching wise. It's a tough thing. That's the only thing you worry about really, is the locker room make up. The Spurs are full of legit, high class pros so it works, on other teams (like maybe the Kings), that might not work with ass holes like Rondo around. I respect the hell out of Hammon because she was legit on the court and her being hired and respected by the league's top franchise and the best basketball coach in the sport speaks volumes about where she's headed.

That's what I thought also but Gordon was a 35% three point shooter at Arizona. I believe the video was before his freshman year.

Was just coming over to talk about how Cavs opening would hurt our search, but they promoted from within.

Now lets start our long debate of weather Blatt is a bad coach or if he was doomed from the start because LeBron never seemed to like him.

blatt did get that team to really play well with lebron and role players or players injured to the finals and nearly won it. even with love and irving injured.

Blatt is a pretty well respected coach, if the Nets want to invite him to be interviewed once the GM is selected I wouldn't mind. Pretty hard to judge a guy when a player has 100% control like that, not even Jordan dictated on court decisions.

I distinctly remember Stephen A Smith reporting that Blatt could be fired this past off-season TWO days after LeBron announced his return because LeBron did not know about him and doesn't like inexperienced coaches.

When the ESPN anchor asked "Will LeBron at least try to get to know Blatt and make it work?"

Smith responded: "No. He wants Mark Jackson even though he just got there."


Yes, LeBron is that big of a diva. The Cavs franchise clearly has no integrity to allow him to make all these decisions.

Blatt has been the Russian national team coach as well, I'd imagine he's going to get a call from Prok. I think he will be able to thrive with a young core and no prima donna bitch like Lebron dictating how he runs his team. I'd take a really long look at him.

I still have Thibs atop of the coaching list but it's good that now we have a grand scale of candidates that could either fill other positions or be available to us in the off-season.

Blatt always had a deer in the headlights look. He just never had a chance, since he noticeably wasn't able to imprint his personality on that team... he was pretty much just a passenger over there. So for that reason, I expect them to be better... since they won't be able to have the coach excuse anymore.
