OG/Deuce on Maxey is a key matchup. I expect Donte to feast with the attention Brunson will get.

The books have the knicks as very small underdogs

But there are no excuses

They play washed batum
Washed Lowry
Washed Harris

A ton of minutes

Knicks should win this series and not doing so would significantly recalibrate our offseason imo

I can't believe people watched that play in game and are any sort of worried or nervous going into this series....

Sixers looked completely lost in the first half at a simple zone and it took Butler spraining his MCL for them to survive the Heat.

Maxey was a no show against a team who was employing Tyler Herro at the head of a zone.

Embiid shot 6-17 and 2 of those makes were 3's... 4-13 from 2 and looked like he couldn't move well.

Sixers are talented but their supporting cast is iffy and I find it hard to believe Embiid is going to last 7 games after the way he looked tonight. They rely heavily on guys like

Oubre
Old Lowry
Batum

To make shots to win. They also have no one who can guard Brunson 1 on 1. Meanwhile we have 2 plus defensive centers to muscle with Embiid and tire him out over a series. Hart and McBride at the point of attack and OG who can basically cover 95% of the league.

I'm not thrilled about having to play a former MVP but we're the better team here.

They seem easily rattled too. Which is a huge advantage to playing them vs the Heat. Brunson is a much more poised head of the snake. Plus, Spo seems to have Thibs figured out.

I'm not scared of this matchup. Just annoyed that as the 2nd seed our opponent has much more talent than any 7th seed has business having.

Also, Embiid looks huge right now and not in a good way. He's gonna have a tough time with the metal bats.

This is better for us. Miami would injure Brunson as part of their game plan those absolute trash pieces of sh*t

I like our depth better. They got two of the best 3 players.

I’d be surprised if it doesn’t go 6 games either way. I don’t think this is an easy opponent as long as Embiid is healthy & out of foul trouble

Nope too much parity for this to be easy. But with home court and our defensive stoppers geared up I'm pretty confident we win this in 6.

This goes to 5 games. MSG will be electric for the 1st 2 games. If we take 1 on the road, no way we don’t close this out in game 5 here. Simple as that.

Embiid is not healthy enough to dominate in this series.
We have OG & Deuce to cover Maxey.
Our Nova boys will feel right at home in Philly.
Knicks in 5.

Why are people talking about putting OG on embid as if Maxey doesn't exist and the knicks don't have 3 big men that they can throw at Embid at any time?

To be fair though, that was the game where Embiid injured his ankle in the beginning minutes and wasn't moving well afterwards.

I love the optimism here on the board and do believe we have a solid chance at winning this series but it is going to be tough as well. The Sixers are 32-8 with Embiid this season, a better winning percentage than even Boston. So there is that. However it does seem that Embiid is not at 100% currently and I do think we should match up decently with them.

We need Bojan to step up and score consistantly. Brunson alone can't outscore Maxey and Embiid so someone needs to step up there.
