Good game bro. I’m sure you got something slick up your sleeve. I know this series won’t be easy. I’m expecting some tough battles. See you guys tomorrow for game 2!

The Toronto Raptors scores 43 points in the first quarter, jumping out to a large early lead and holding onto it, to defeat the Miami Heat in game 1 of the first round in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

The Scotiabank Arena in Ontario, Canada was rocking, as the Raps looked to assert themselves on their home court, in front of their loyal fans. The big 3 of Trae Young, Victor Wembanyama, and Rudy Gobert each had standout performances in the starting lineup, while Miles Bridges contributed mightily off the bench.

Toronto will seek to protect homecourt advantage again in game 2 tomorrow night, with the Miami Heat surely planning to make adjustments, in an effort to steal one on the road, before heading back to Florida.

Rudy Gobert
26 PTS | 9-10 FG | 8-12 FT | 8 REB | 6 AST | 2 BLK

Trae Young
25 PTS | 8-14 FG | 4-6 3PT | 5-5 FT | 7 AST | 2 STL

Victor Wembanyama
23 PTS | 7-12 FG | 1-2 3PT | 8-10 FT | 6 REB | 5 AST | 2 BLK

Miles Bridges
15 PTS | 6-11 FG | 3-4 3PT | 5 REB | 2 STL

2010 took last year personal. The Raptors went from lottery team to contender in 1 offseason.

Back in time for the best part of BAF, the playoffs.

I see the team coasted to a 50+ win season with no trades and changes to rotations/game plan, not bad at all.

First round matchup against NewEra and the Dubs? Rarely this early, but as always this should be a great series

Reminder to teams who have not PM'd me their in/out for season 8 and their GM of the year vote, please get them to me by the end of the week.

Thank you to the 11 GM's who have responded already.

Regular season awards will be named after the postseason concludes. One thing I've been thinking about adding to this is a GM or Executive of the Year award to be named after the season. I would ALL like GM's to vote on this. GMs can vote for anyone but themselves and the GM with the highest number of votes will be honored during awards season. Please PM me your vote by next weekend at the latest. Hopefully people will put a bit of thought into this and it can add one more thing to BaF.

Finally, as some teams have now reached their offseason and people move their focus away from BaF and a deep Knicks run in the playoffs, I want to get a quick commitment for season 8 from all GM's. Please PM me your 'in/out' for the 2024-25 season along with your GM of the Year vote before 4/21.

If you one of the 10 GM's that have done this already please ignore but since I don't know who is in or not figured I would send out my yearly roll call just in case the message goes unseen from our commish. He would like a PM for season 8 if you are in and a vote for GM of the year.

I wanted to share something I just included in a PM with Bish as it's something that should be out there publicly.

One of my favorite things about this league is how my mutual respect for other members of the forum has gone up as I watch them work through their processes and see those approaches working - and in some cases far better than mine.

I suspect this is why the beefs have gone down over time. It's fun to talk **** but there really isn't a player in the game where I can't see a method to the madness. I'm ever grateful that Mags recruited me to be a party to this experiment. Best game on the web.

But enough sweet talk. Time to get down to folding Blue Note Records.

Honestly Cap...I think ALL beefs on this board need to be let go/ended/etc...Just for the simple fact that
we have Brunson and a nice core that will eventually win a chip. I am willing...
It would be a shame to be looking sideways at another knick fan when we win a chip...

Brunson really is a blessing.

A number of years ago now I came to the realization that there was really no point in engaging in flame wars on here when it was management who sucked. There are a number of ways to build a good team and somehow the Knicks seemed to miss all of them for awhile. But that's done with, thank goodness.
