C: Dwight Howard
PF: Antawn Jamison / Channing Frye
SF: Hedo Turkoglu / Brandon Rush
SG: Arron Afflalo / Brandon Rush
PG: Chauncey Billups / Toney Douglas

Win-Now: 9/10
Great team to win in the next 2 years. Billups is a great playoff tested performer and you cannot argue with Dwight. Good good shooting around Dwight. Right strategy if you believe in the run and gun system.

Future: 4/10
Dwight is the only solid piece for the future. Everyone else are role players. Chauncey is old, Jamison is old, Turkoglu is old. How good can this team be in the future because 2 of its top three players are declining and free agents soon. But since Dwight is on your team this cannot be less then a 4.

Cap Management: 4/10
Took on Frye's contract, took on Hedo's contract. Hedo will be done in a matter of two year.

Total: 17/30 = 57%

Your team is looking way better than the last time I reviewed it. With how good Lebron is, VCs inconsistency won't matter as much and I feel as though you have solid role players who know their role. I'd look to upgrade the PG spot. Get some depth behind your center and you should be good money.

Thanks bro for the kind words. :)

Hawks have 3 10th rounders on the block, for either players or other picks. Make your offers before it's too late! Q2N8@aim.com

2010 wrote:justdatdude...I HATE YOU for that Rick Adelman pick (among other reasons as well) lol. Damnit! I had him pegged as my coach since round 4 and had no idea anyone else would pick him before round 10. He was PERFECT for my roster. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I had 3 coaches in mind. Passed on one because I wasn't sure how he'd be in the future and the other was a young guy, but I didn't want to put a team like this on the shoulders of a head coach without much experience. I think Adelman was the perfect fit for me.

What do you think about my team?

PG: Derrick Rose
SG: MIckael Pietrus/Delonte West
SF: Wes Johnson/Richard Jefferson
PF: Zach Randloph
C: Greg Oden/Marcin Gortat

HC: Rick Adelman

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_

On paper this team looks like a contender with very talented players at each position and a good bench that compliments the starting five. However, questions lie in a few areas. First and foremost, a lot is dependant upon the health of Greg Oden as the starting center. Although Marcin Gortat is a competent backup fully capable of filling in as a starter should Oden continue to prove brittle, Gortat would probably not suffice as a starting center for a championship caliber team. Secondly, the black-hole tendencies of Zach Randolph could prove to disrupt the offensive cohesion and continuity. Wes Johnson can stretch the defense, so I can understand why you went with him over the veteran Richard Jefferson at SF. But is there enough outside shooting? Johnson and Mikael Pietrus can both knock down an outside shot but they do tend to be a bit streaky.

This team shows balance between the halfcourt game centered around Randolph/Oden and the uptempo game centered around Rose, Pietrus, Johnson, and RJ. Also a nice mix of two-way players as well. Seemingly built to win now and in the future and with good cap flexibility, I'd have to say this was a good job of GM'ing. I'm am a bit bitter that you stole Rick Adelman from under my nose (thought for sure you'd go with a Byron Scott, Flip Saunders, George Karl type but it's all good.

Can I get a 10-scale breakdown of my team in all the pertinent categories from some of my fellow GM's. I promise not to get as sensitive as I did before, lol.

PG: Ricky Rubio | Shannon Brown
SG: Kevin Martin
SF: Danny Granger | Boris Diaw
PF: Marreese Speights | Michael Beasley
C: Yao Ming

Win-Now: 6/10

This is a playoff team. What keep this team from winning in the playoffs? Yao's health and depth. Im iffy on all of your bench (especially Brown). I think this team doesnt have enough bigs to make it far enough. Scoring wont be a problem but defense is a huge question mark. No defense anywhere. I doubt this is a contender.

Future: 8/10

I think theres plenty of good components to this team. Center prospects hold this team back.

Cap Management: 7/10

One bad contract in Diaw, otherwise good cap.

Hornets looking to move up somehow to get our Coach! We have three 12th rounders. We're willing to deal two of the three.

Don't see why not. Would be like trading any other drafted player/pick. So sure.

What holds this team from being perfect? The quality of big men available this late. This is definitely a contender and has some serious pieces. Wade has a good amount of shooters around him with Blake, Hawes, Nate and QRich. I love the scoring and fit. I dont like soft big men like Hawes but Dengs rebounding helps seriously with this. Everyone fits. Solid gameplan on the team. Clear direction which always helps. Bench isnt done but two good pieces there.

Future: 6/10

When I think of future, I think of 5 year plan. This team in five year should still have Wade plus some of it major pieces hitting 30s. Thats young but with the loss of Timmy and some players it hurts.

Cap: 9/10

No bad contracts. Some a little overpaid but worth it.

New Orleans Hornets B.A.T- 4.0

PG - Stephen Curry /Lou Williams
SG - Manu Ginobili/ Stephen Curry
SF - Ron Artest / Travis Outlaw
PF - Shawn Marion /Amir Johnson
C - Joakim Noah /Ronny Turiaf

Win now: 10/10

This team has a perfect amount of scoring and defense. Everyone has a clear fit in this team. Great amount of playmaking in the back. Great bench also. Great job. IMO one of the favorites for the championship. PS. Great assistant GM.

Future: 8/10

Amir is 23, Noah is 24 or 25. Curry, Outlaw, Williams all very young. Nice job.

Cap: 7/10

2-3 questionable cap moves but personally I like them. Still good but not great cap management since Outlaw, Amir and Marion have pretty big contracts.
