Which Chandler are you referring to? It does not matter any way since we can't afford either one this year. The OP seems to be confused about what we can do this offseason as oppose to next. If anything this year free agent class should tell you is that second tier and third tier players don't come cheap. If you have to spend, it may as well be on quality.

People keep thinking $13.5M gets you a starting C, SG, and 2 players off the bench. It barely gets you one quality player.

Funny that this comes up after reports that CP3 would be inclined to play with Chandler again...I wonder what the deal for Chandler entails and if it's possible salary wise to get CP3 without involving Billups (doubt it but just wondering).

I would gladly take Chauncey-Melo-STAT-Chandler over anything that would involve CP3 at this point. Why not give Chauncey a fresh start this season? He still has plenty left in the tank IMO and is a great veteran presence. Have STAT play his natural position and big things can happen. We don't need to rush this CP3 thing.
