j4remi wrote:Wilson Chandler gets a lot of freak injuries...I remember the teeth in the forearm infection...the guy can't catch a break. I've said this a few times too, if I could bring anyone of our former players back, it'd be Wilson. That's based both on his play and fit on our roster.

JR is a PG/SG/SF, primarily a SG.
Wilson is a SG/SF/PF, primarily a SF.
Wilson would be AWESOME starting alongside Melo.
NYKMentality85 wrote:As I've been saying dating back to last season, J.R Smith any day over Wilson Chandler for 6th man off the bench. Not only does Wilson Chandler struggle to stay healthy, but his contract. He's not worth that much money. When you compare J.R's contract to Wilson's, then compare their overall numbers? It's obvious as ever, that J.R Smith is the much better value for our Knicks moving forward.

Wilson Chandler @wilsonchandler 46m
Thanks for the wishes everyone. I should be just fine.
NYKMentality85 wrote:I've never once missed Wilson Chandler. I just feel that we've already replaced Wilson Chandler as our 6th man off the bench. His name is J.R Smith.
J.R Smith: 33.2 minutes, 16.8 points (.400%), 5.0 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 turnovers per game. Player Efficiency Rating of 15.76.
Chandler: 23.4 minutes, 11.9 points (.448%), 5.0 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.4 turnovers per game. Player Efficiency Rating of 15.80.
J.R Smith: $2,806,452.
Chandler: $5,930,415.
When in regards to the 6th man off the bench, our Knicks got a much better deal/value in J.R Smith when compared to Denver being stuck with Wilson Chandler. Who's contract only increases from here on out. Not even close to being worth it for Denver.

Since all-star break:
WC: .509 .447 6.2-11.2 4.8 reb 15 ppg 26 minutes
JR: .402 .375 6.5-16.3 5.3 reb 18.8 ppg 32.7
Only fair to compare a healthy Chandler vs a healthy Smith.
