Implementing Davis into our offense will take a lil bit of time, especially if we go with Melo initiating the action like we are practicing in training camp.

This team works so much better when we focus on ball movement.

Maybe one of our capologists can help me out here. I'm confused as to why we'd only sign him to a one year deal. Can someone tell me what are the benefits to doing that for us capwise? I was hoping that we'd have him locked up for a couple years with a team option for the second year, and then trying to use our MLE on Wilson Chandler next year. But does this mean that signing Baron for next year will eat up some of that MLE?

there was some discussion that with cap holds we would be paying the lux tax next summer if we went past one year on the min mle. then we wouldn't have the full mle. not sure if anyone has actually crunched the numbers.

I don't know the language of the new CBA too well yet but what I've gathered is that indeed it would eat some of next season's MLE.

TW, the problem I have with the melo trade, was the trade itself.. I wanted to wait, then sit back and make decisions after the season... look at the player movement, none of us could have predicted the players on the move would be moving.. melo forced this move for personal and selfish reasons and I think it hurt the knicks.. so yea, I am uspet and because of it, we are now left to go after guys like baron davis... there was a reason I didn't want to max contract chase.... I said this many times before... and the sad thing is that players knicks fans have dogged for years are now saviors and guys I am supposed to get behind.... please...

Yeah I feel ya, thing is I don't feel that that squad we had would have hit the ceiling that everyone thought they would. Everyone knows we over value our players. I expected that team to go 14/14 even before we got Melo and I complaint about trading for him instead of waiting. Thing is do you truly feel that squad could have brought us a championship with Melo included in the off season. I really can't say because I always think Defense first and that squad said F*&% defense. Now I wont go crazy over this team as a whole but Melo has always been my favorite player sense being a Cuse and after seeing Shump play at GT (my choices in the draft were Clay, Shump, and Singleton) I've been on his bandwagon due to his motor and defense.

I feel that Tyson, Amare, Shump, Melo, annnnnnnnd damn I can't believe I'm saying this but deep breath Jefferies well be are key to winning a championship because of the willingness to play D. We already know that this team has no problem playing offense.

Our current pgs couldn't successfully accomplish even one of the moves Baron pulls off in that video. This is such a low risk HIGH reward move.

I wonder if anyone would prefer Denver's line-up post trade or even New Orleans'...over the next three years? No if's or but's about draft picks or someone working out or anyone being hurt. If you had to choose right now, one of the three line-ups for the next three years. I think the answer to that is obvious.

That video was amazing...Baron is a human highlight reel and the video itself was very well put together with some good music.

I don't think people are against the signing, but of the trade that Walsh made prior to the signing. You know the one that traded all of our future HOF's for one single solitary future Hall of Famer.
