Re: Build-a-Team 7.0 Draft Picks/Trades Thread
Pacer select Gordon Hayward with the 112 overall pick

Kid with fit in perfectly with the pacers. BB IQ is really good. Can stroke it from anywhere on the court. Can make the pass too. Doubled almost all his numbers from 1st year to 2nd year. Has upside. Averaged almost 12 pts 3.5 rb 3 assists .8 stl .6 blk as a second year. Had a subpar first playoffs but it was only his first postseason and was against the spurs who make everyone look bad with their mistake free b ball. The real life thunder is showing that a young core can work and im looking for my team to do the same

SG Danny Green

A coldblooded shooter from both 3-point land & inside as well as a willing & able passer with defensive prowess, Danny Green is quickly proving his worth as a valuable young piece of the puzzle in the Spurs' playoff performance. The Cavaliers welcome him to play alongside Russell Westbrook.

With the #116 pick in the BAT 7 draft, the Wizards select:
Spencer Hawes

A very young, versatile big man that loves defense and aggression. He should've been a UFC fighter.

With the #117 pick in the BAT 7 draft, the Wizards select:
Antawn Jamison

The versatile big man, although in his 30's, is still putting up 18+ ppg. His scoring and ability to play both forward positions is going to allow the floor to be stretched for the rest of the players.

Trade proposal:
Wizards trade:
118 (4), 236 (8), 305 (11), 307 (11)
76ers trade:
166 (6), 187 (7), 195 (7), 315 (11)
Coolkids and I agreed to a deal for the #118 pick, I'm just waiting for him to accept. I can prove in e-mail that he agreed to it, but I'm waiting for him to accept it on the official board. If he doesn't write that he agrees to it, then I wrote to Paco who my pick is.

...with the 120th pick in the draft...
The Toronto Raptors select...
DARREN COLLISON

We, the Raptors organization, are really excited to bring in Mr. Collison to run the point for this team. We believe he is a great fit with the roster we've assembled thus far. We view Darren as a very well-balanced point guard with a knack for making the right decision as far as when to pass and when to shoot. He is a quick, terrific passer, a good shooter who can knock down the three, a solid defender, has an excellent basketball IQ, nice handles and great court vision.
Also, despite his young age, it looks as though he can get it done in the playoffs. He has one of the highest PERs in this year's playoffs, and although he hasn't been scoring much thus far, among players with 40+ points, he has scored the highest percentage of his points in the 4th quarter of all players in the playoffs (59%). He has been said to have a clutch factor in his game, and we believe he will be one of the best all-around point guards in the league for years to come.
We are proud to welcome Darren to Toronto!

Just Wow. Another steal for the Jazz.
Jazz take...

Kendrick Perkins
Is there any better center to put next to Bosh that provides toughness and interior D? No.

The Charlotte Bobcats select SG, Tony Allen.

SG/PG, Jason "The Jet" Terry

SF/PF, Thaddeus Young

The Bobcats are very excited about adding a pair of battle tested playoff veterans including Jason Terry who has experience of running his own team and being a clutch play maker during his recent championship run. Tony Allen is the best perimeter defender in the game and has an efficient offensive game. Thaddeus Young "Lefty" is one of the best 6th men in basketball and while playing PF the entire year, we plan on using him back to his natural position at small forward where he can excel on the block and using his crafty moves off the dribble but if needed he can play the 4 spot.

-- Tony Allen"My whole thing is getting guys focused," Allen said. "I play with a lot of passion. I play with a lot of heart and soul. I play like this is my last. I play like I may not ever get back on the court again. I'm going to tire myself out. I'm going to be yelling. I'm going to be screaming. But I always hope that has a snowball effect."

With the 126th Pick in the BAT 7.0 Draft the Detroit Pistons Select...
OJ MAYO
Once the next Lebron or MJ or Kobe, Mayo has not lived up to his lofty expectations true but there is still a lot of talent there, talent that is perfect for the role this team will need from him.
Always having functioned better as a starter (when he averaged 18/5/3 in his first 2 seasons) OJ will be once against placed into that role. However, with all the talent on this team he will no longer be expected to carry a franchise and be it's number 1 option. Instead we look for Mayo to continue to do 3 things that he's always done extremely well: make plays for himself and others, shoot the all (46% 2PT, 39% 3PT his 1st 2 seasons) AND to defend.
Mayo has always shown a very advanced game for such a young player and a great feel for whats going on around him. Of court issues are a concern but it's the hope that with the veteran leadership on this team and a fresh start that Mayo will once again become one of the top guards in the NBA.
Mayo's ability to create and setup shots for others, especially in the half court, will take some of the burden off of Jeff Teagues hands and allow Mayo to do what he's recently said he wants to do more of...be a facilitator. In combination with Teague the duo will form a dyanmic defensively strong backcourt and Mayo's ability to shoot from deep and his ability to put points on the board will make it extremely difficult for opponents to focus on the other interior weapons the Pistons have.
Welcome aboard OJ!!!
