When we win this series, do everyone a favor and do not pretend that you always believed in this team and celebrate.

Pathetic.

I get the 3:30 game on Sunday. We’ve played our fair share of elimination games on an early Sunday afternoon (2 pacers game 7s, 2 heat game 7s, Heat game 5) off the top of my head.

6 PM on a Friday is beyond stupid

Don't worry... Boston is going to finish the Cavs in 5

Short turnaround between game 6 and the potential game 7... Could hurt us... but let's take it one game at a time.

Hoping we can finish them in 6 :D

OG's injury was overuse, he got hurt just jumping, he had played 42, 45, 50 and 47 minutes before he got hurt. The problem with people defending Tom is that this happened to the Bulls and Bulls fans were trying to defend him until it became apparent that he was in fact a leading cause of their injury problems. I don't know how anyone can look at the Bulls, then look at us and not see the same thing playing out. What he has done with Josh Hart is just lunacy and indefensible.

We'll limp into the playoffs again next year, and people will still be defending him.

I’d rather be the current Knicks and the 2011 bulls than the pistons

We're a Brunson injury away from being the Nets.

We could always just get a coach that doesn't drive players into the ground too.

Do you think Malone is running the Nuggets players into the ground too?

NBA schedules have been beyond stupid.
I blamed regular season for (Please Use More Appropriate Word) in season tournament but post season too??
NBA has regressed overall not just officiating.

If we win against the Pacers at all, I’m already thinking it needs to be in seven games for us to have a chance of getting OG back for a potential game 1. I’m not saying this series can’t be won, but who knows if Anunoby isn’t out for season anyway? That type of injury usually takes forever to heal up and it’s only been a couple of days.

I initially expected us to beat them in four so it’s not that I’m not optimistic. But the reality is that the odds are against us now. We’ll see.

Monica had a good point about OG. He had over a month off before the playoffs to rest after surgery and still gets injured after just 15 games. Cmon dude... its the playoffs if you're good you will have to play 40+ minutes on any team

I doubt OG can come back (hammy's are serious business)... but if he does come back, I'd wager it wouldn't be before a Bos-NYK game 3 at MSG, if we were to advance.

We're gonna get at least 2 more (hopefully) exciting playoff games... maybe 3. Let's enjoy the ride...

Over many months, long minutes benefit freak injuries. If you’ve played, you just know that. It’s not only the chance of the occurrence that’s increased but also the way tendons etc react in those situations is altered. I’m not saying anything was done wrong here or that Thibs would’ve had different ways to go recently, but mileage not only increases the risk of but directly leads to tears and accidents. Of course it does.

OG is the guy you really need to watch with minutes. He just seems fragile. We need a way to keep him preserved going forward. Of course, the plan this playoffs already missing Randle was spelling him with Bogdanovic but he had a freak injury of his own. Stupid Batum.

A real backup point would help as well. Deuce is cool but more of a combo.

I’ll settle the Thibs minutes thing: It’s somewhere in the middle.

He’s not directly the reason for many of our injuries this season, but he does need to stop playing guys entire games and halves. Players are more susceptible to injuries if they’re playing that much without a break. Even a 3-5 minute rest (of game time) has benefits, not just for injuries but for performance. He’ll also go from barely/not playing a guy to playing them 40+ mpg out of nowhere.

The Pacers play at a very fast pace. While we play at a very slow pace. We can get away with high minutes here and there when we play our way, but not when we’re sucked into the Pacer way. The Pacers also played a bigger rotation all season, with frequent substitutions in and out. This is why we wanted to expand the rotation this series a bit, but Precious and Alec only played when Mitch and OG got hurt.

Point is both sides of this debate are annoying. Thibs clearly has a track record of overworking his players and burning his teams out, but he’s not responsible for every little random injury.

Just win tonight.

We have 3 players averaging more than 40mpg in the playoffs, if you want to round up and say Jokic is too then fine. Mike Malone used his bench this season, so what are you even talking about here? Reggie Jackson, Christian Braun and Peyton Watson all played over 1400 total minutes on the season, not 1 of our bench guys has done that. Mcbride was closest and he fell short by 72 minutes, which is basically 3 games for him.

Do I really need to just post the Bulls threads? You guys act like this wasn't said before, it's weird how you can defend this like I can't just be like "Look at the Bulls". We literally have Bulls threads from a decade ago with the same complaints and defenses, it's insane.
